"A good place to stay when visiting the Rioja region. A converted abbey in Navarrete , very close to the town centre and motorway access. Very pleasant rooms, with slightly dated, but well maintained furnishings. There is plenty of parking, and lovely grounds surrounding the hotel. There was no food being served in the evenings when we were there, but this may be different at other times of the year. But the staff were able to recommend a good restaurant in town, less than a ten minute walk away. Buffet breakfast was very extensive with hot and cold dishes, fresh juices and as much tea and coffee as you want. The reasonable price, is obviously the attraction of the hotel, and better than staying at a branded, bland location."

"We were captivated by its architecture and spa. First of all they give us the menu and when we ask about the two menus on the website they say that they are no longer available, so it seemed to us a big failure in updating and information. The dining room has a central part where very good natural light enters, but in the end it was very dark and unwelcoming. The starters were very delicious but both the fish and the meat were very average. Lacking in flavor and quantity. However, the desserts are really delicious. Regular service, friendly waitresses but serving as in a daily menu restaurant, at speed, without hospitality details"
