"On that cold and dark winter evebing, we were gracefully helped by phone by the reception lady in order to reach the hotel located within the pedestrian corner of the city. A beautiful Maison de Maître serves as the Edgar hôtel. Check-in was swift and pleasant, and we had access to an elevator for our humougous suitcases. We entered a beautifully-decorated and warm bedroom, and were nicely advised by our receptionist on which restaurant would be open for dinner (winter Sunday night). Had a resting sleep and a tasty breakfast. Only good things to say, basically. I want to emphasize here that we had a wheel chair accessible bedroom on the 1st floor (the hotel has 3), which I found interesting. The bathroom was all planned for wheel chair access. In case anyone here needs this type of facility, you can book Edgar hotel!"

"The hotel could be really good but there is a feeling of reserve and coldness in the welcome and demeanour towards guests. Check-in time is 16.00 which is at least an hour too late and arriving about 30 minutes before after a long trip to be told room not ready and with no apology or offer of a glass of something nice to make us feel welcome went down badly. We had to walk around for half an hour and come back —not a good start. The room was fine if a little clinical in it’s white starkness—warmer more creative decor would have been more welcoming and tasteful. I have read other reviews praising the breakfast. In our view it was nothing special and for €22 per person is an over priced small buffet. There is no menu or option to order anything other than on display Only hot food was bacon, scrambled eggs and boil your own eggs — poor fruit selection, only cheese available was the runniest smelliest type of cheese, no hard cheese like Emmental. Coffee was from a machine which I think is a cop out by hotels so they don’t have to bother to make it and for the price charged i expect not to have to balance a full cup across the dining floor. If the hotel was run by people who understood the hospitality business then they would have a good product. On the subject of hospitality we paid the night before as we had to leave early and as the restaurant only started breakfast at 07.30 it was too early for us but there was no offer to provide any coffee or croissants etc for us to take with us. Not planning on returning."

"We stayed here briefly while travelling around France—our first night of a four-night trip—and it was the perfect way to start our holiday. The location is fantastic, right on the beachfront on a lovely quiet road. There was parking directly outside the hotel for our motorbike, which we could see from our room, so that was a big bonus for us. The receptionist’s English wasn’t great and my French wasn’t much better, but she went out of her way to communicate using Google Translate. She was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We had a standard room, so it wasn’t huge and didn’t have a sea view, but it was comfortable and perfectly adequate. Our view over the garden and road was absolutely fine. Breakfast was very good, with a nice selection of breads, cheeses, hot items, and coffee. We would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it—such a great little find."

"Mieliśmy bardzo dobre pobyt w Louis Horel, idealnie położony tuż przed portem Perros-Guirec. Duży bicie serca na śniadanie: wszystko jest w domu, i czuje się jak to! Mały ogród jest również bardzo przyjemny do picia kawy, czytania kilku stron lub po prostu cieszyć się chwilą w pokoju. Ogród jest niesamowity, cieszyliśmy się relaksem w nim po wycieczkach i ponurkowanie w basenie. Piękny wybór na śniadanie, domowe ciasta i zakwaterowania. Mały wybór jest oferowany wieczorem i bar. Pyszne koktajle i lokalne piwo z Ile de Brehat. Nathalie i Luc, którzy posiadają hotel, są świetnymi gospodarzami. Hotel jest 5 minut jazdy od parkingu dla Ile de Brehat, który jest bardzo warty odwiedzić."
