Hotele w: Cai Village/Longkan Wharf, Dali

The room is decent. Frontdesk is helpful and kind. They even help to carry my heavy luggage ( upon my request) as the taxi drop off point is 100m away due to a road repair works affecting its normal access. The hotel rooftop balcony is perfect to see the lake and to watch sunrise and sunset. To get good dinner meal options, I still recommend to travel to the ancient town. The durian (Thai and Vietnamese) in dali and Lijiang are the cheapest around in the country that I can find correct at the time and season of travel.

小涵 provided the best services to us. She picked us from the outside shop and brought our lugguages back with the scooters, saving us the troubles to pull the luggages through the pebble Alley. The location was facing Er Hai. The evening and morning view were spectacular. Highly recommended for families who like to stay relaxed and strolling or cycling along the lake side.

Great view of Erhai from our room! Had partial view of Cang mountain from the room’s balcony too. The cycling and pedestrain paths along Erhai are right outside the hotel and easily accessible from our hotel. It was peaceful and quiet, away from the public crowd compared to the busier areas like the Longkan Wharf, but yet still a walkable distance to Longkan Wharf to watch the sunrise. We also caught the stars at night! The mixian and buns for breakfast are a must try. Had no issues with calling DiDi to our hotel too. Do note that there are no elevators but the kind owner helped to carry our luggages up to and down from our room. The owner was friendly and approachable. Lastly, the lobby and room were well decorated and maintained. The room was clean and the self-service washing machine and dryer were a bonus.

We've been traveling in China for 2 months and this is the best place we have stayed. Very comfortable and clean and quiet. The hosts were very nice and responsive and helpful. We hired the owner to give us a tour of Dali and the lake and mountains that was excellent. The host gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. The host arranged our transport from the train station, and our transport to our next city we are visiting. We have all excellent things to say about our stay here and hosts. Highly recommended.

This was the perfect stay just by the Erhai lakeside with a fantastic view and lovely hosts. Our hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. They helped us arrange for a bike rental and our transfer to Shaxi Ancient Town for the next day. Also huge thanks to them for helping us drive to the collection point with us to collect our Taobao haul. Huge thumbs up from us Singaporean guests. Highly recommend!

Love this homestay very much! Health is in place, the bedding is comfortable and the facilities are complete. The atmosphere is full and the photos are very good. The service is not deliberately not disturbed, the details are well done, the living is comfortable and comfortable, the journey is extra points, it is worth staying.

Super worthy of money! I stay in a single room. The mattress is so cosy. The boss is friendly, helpful and honest. I gave him a garland to show my gratitude. He will use it to decorate his homestay. Hopefully, when you stay there, you will be able to see it. I enjoyed stay there so much that I extended one more night. Hope you will enjoy stay there too.

We had a bit of a communication barrier at first due to the language, but once we got past that, our stay was fantastic. The room was clean, comfortable, and quite modern—everything seemed new and well-maintained. The owner was really helpful and did their best to assist us. The location was perfect, just a short walk to Erhai Lake, which made for some lovely strolls. Overall, a very nice stay with good facilities and a friendly atmosphere!

Fantastic service, like the environment. Rent a bike or scooter to ride around the lake is really something enjoyable. Very close to the Dali old town as well. Do call the hotel to arrange the pickup service. Not all the rooms can see the lake from the room. Better check with the hotel staff if picky about it. Nevertheless you can see the lake at hotel lobby or at the roof top.

The view from the room was stunning! The room came with an attached terrace and was super spacious. The staff were very helpful, and the whole process from check-in to check-out was smooth. Even though they couldn’t converse well in English, they did their best to help us using a translator…and we truly appreciated the effort! We didn’t have any expectations for breakfast and had planned to eat outside instead, but to our surprise, they approached us and prepared a Muslim-friendly breakfast. That was a big plus, especially for Muslim travellers looking for a comfortable stay. We also received complimentary afternoon tea, which was a lovely touch. The homestay is peaceful, only about 10-15 mins to Dali Ancient Town, and easy to reach by Didi. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here! Too bad we only stayed for one night… definitely planning to come back in the future!😊
