Denia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort & Spa

The Golf course in dreadful Condition and they put too many out on the course which makes it very slow.. Green almost unplayable. Hotel fine but don’t bother if you are going for the golf

Played golf here, unfortunately it was overbooked resulting in a very slow round, heard from local members that it was bad. The course itself is poor, the greens were very patchy and uneven. Not worth the price to be honest.

Perfect in every way. Gorgeous communal area and bar. The pool looks over the golf course but we didn't use it as it was horrible weather. The spa looked lovely but we didn't use. We did eat in the Thai restaurant and the food was excellent. Our room was lovely and beds extremely comfortable.

We have stayed here many times before and will keep returning. It was too cool to swim in the lovely pool but warm enough to have lunch beside it from the poolside bar. Good choice of bar food. The golf course club house offers similar fare and has nice views from its terrace. The rooms are Marriott comfortable with beds to die for. Walk in shower in bathroom and balcony with seating off bedroom. Our room overlooked pool. Great lighting to read by. We had dinner in Montgo Restaurant on one night of our stay and it was good. We did not use the Thai restaurant this stay as I wasn’t happy with it last time. Breakfast is extensive with a great variety of buffet hot , cold and fruits, cereals pastries available. There is also a cook on standby to cook omelettes, pancakes eggs to order. The hotel is approx 10 min drive from Denia and Javea in the other direction . Both towns have lots of choice for dining. The spa is worth a visit and the golf course is great , both should be booked in advance as availability can be a problem. Golf trollies are available outside the front door of hotel.

I was booked in by a company in the area . I chose to stay for 2 nights before and after a brief meeting . On seeing my room I went back to reception and was told there were no other rooms available that didn’t look over the car park or the road . I had to accept this ( by a supervisor , not reception staff) but I did look on various sites to see if was true . iT WAS A LIE . Not a way to treat a client … no complaints re the actual hotel , which I have stays in previously … and I wasn’t asking for a free upgrade. Very disappointing… I won’t stay there again

Great hotel, good food and the best service (people). Lucky I'm still there 😀 Gr Sander Oké, at leest 200 characters; The room 396 is spacius, wel cleaned has a nice bed great living en good outside. The dinner was almost star quality, lets say "pritty good". The bar at the swimmimg area is the best, good food, better service (people) en the best atmosfeer. WIFI internet is so good, i watched a football match on my Phone. Why choose for an upgrade? I can go on and on how nice it is, but go see it for urself.

The room was spacious with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also spacious but unfortunately the shower was in a rather slippery bath - quite dangerous! The main problem we had was there seems to be about 300 people in various tour groups; they completely dominated the atmosphere and were very noisy. We arrived on a Sunday and went to the main dining room when it opened to be told only a buffet was available. No problem, so we sat down and ordered drinks. Shortly afterwards the tour groups arrived to sit at their assigned long table with flags and names etc. The buffet was rather chaotic with so many people in the buffet area (whilst many Spanish hotels were still enforcing social distancing for Corona!). We ate quickly and left the chaos. From another couple we heard they'd only set 6 tables for couples - the rest were for groups. The next day we checked in for golf - 18 holes took 5 1/2 hours as they'd booked so many on the course and again, it was chaos. A couple behind us on the course said it routinely too between 5 1/2 and 6 hours for 18 holes here in October. We cancelled the rest of the week's golf at this resort. After so long on the course we were hungry and asked at reception for a table at 7 pm when the dining room opened. We were told that all tables were reserved for groups at 7 pm and that couples were allowed eat from 9 pm onwards! Basically if you'd booked via the Marriott Bonvoy app you were a 2nd class citizen, it seemed. After leaving a complaint at reception, we were rung in our room to say we could eat at 7 pm. The manager came and offered us a drink as way of apology but clearly she couldn't really solve the problem as the hotel was full - of groups. The meal (not a buffet this time) was excellent and the staff helpful. The breakfasts were also excellent so the hotel does have some good points. I can only suggest they do what many golf hotels do - put groups in separate dining rooms and offer a quieter dining experience for couples and families in a separate area. There was a bar with a bar menu but it had all the atmosphere of a school canteen, so not to be recommended. There were a number of good restaurants in the area - you don't need to go into Denia. But if you wish to enjoy a decent standard of golf, avoid this hotel and golf course!

Very nice hotel, lovely beds and very attentive service. Only backdrop, toilet in the room was probably for kids as it was very small. Rest was very good, breakfast good and views where nice to the golfcourse

Hotel is very good, big and updated rooms and clean. Very good breakfast and good food at restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful. At the golf course we were not so happy. We had 4 tee time and expected to rotate the 3 – 9holes courses. That was not the case, when I tried to talk to caddy master he was rude, even when I said that I had booked tee time 9:04 when he said you start 9:26. Caddy master even tried to let us play same courses red and green 3 times in a row. One of the courses is in not good condition the green one (they all them yellow, red and green). The greens one should be closed, as the picture shows. Generally, the greens are not good, too much sand in all of them, I just came from 3 other courses in my trip in Spain, all of them much better, different level in good condition. The courses are overbooked and there was chaos with the tee time start and when we started the second 9 holes. Staff at club house restaurant had unpolite service, everything was done as a big favor instead of service minded approach.
