Lukimbi Safari Lodge

We loved every minute of our stay made special by the friendliness of the staff. I really would like to commend Julian (guide) and Stranger (tracker) - they were extremely knowledgeable and made the trip extra special. We will definitely be back.

Where do I start? The accommodation was comfortable and fully equipped. The staff are attentive to your needs. The chef(Brendon) and the wait staff (Thobile) are ready to make accommodations (halaal but let them know in advance). The food was amazing. Constantly being fed. The fresh air and the game drives were amazing. Got to see the big 5. The tracker and the driver ( Michael and Darren), were amazing. We got to see a pride of lions and experience a sunset with a herd of elephants. I cannot compliment Shelley and Sean enough for making us feel like a treasure during our stay.

I visited Lukimbi for my third time last week and cannot speak highly enough about the lodge and experience. The staff make you feel like family and provide a 5-star experience from accommodations, service, food and game drives. The rangers and trackers (Julian and Stranger) are extremely knowledgeable and will work hard to seek out all of the amazing animals for your safari. If I could live here, I would! The lodge is immaculate and makes you feel like you are staying in South Africa and not at a hotel. You receive personal letters from the staff. I was treated to a birthday dinner that was created by the staff and chef that was beyond my dreams. All of the personal touches just add to the sightings you see each day on your game drive and walkabouts. I have nothing but positive things to say about this lodge. If you are considering going on safari, this is where you want to stay. You can fly into Kruger at Skukuza airport and taken to the lodge in Lukimbi. As Lukimbi is a concession in Kruger, you stay in the park 24 hours a day and ride on all roads (and offroad) and not the tarred roads for the public. I promise that from when you arrive, Sean and Shelley will welcome you with open arms. The bartender Lyborn will smile each time he sees you and make any drink your heart desires. The individual lodges are immaculate with views of the river in each room (and bathroom) so you don't miss an animal sighting. The game drives are an experience of a lifetime.
