Hotel Encamp

Byłem w hotelu Encamp i wyposażenie jest dobre, ale chciałbym podkreślić uwagę personelu, co podkreśla Ludmila.jamicheber.(recepcja) oraz kucharz i Juan, kelner w formie bufetu. Wrócę, jeśli będę w okolicy, ponieważ było nam bardzo wygodnie. Mój syn zachorował, a opieka nad dzieckiem wynosiła 10. Dziękuję za uczynienie naszego pobytu tak przyjemnym. Gdy dowiedziałem się o chorobie mojego syna, kierownik również był bardzo uważny. Wesołych Świąt i pomyślnego roku 2023

Pokój był dobry, śniadanie było bardzo dobre, ogrzewanie było bardzo dobre, jedyną rzeczą, która wydawała mi się zła, było łóżko, dużo się poruszało, a materac był okropny. Obsługa recepcji i ogólnie bardzo dobra.

Weekend, w którym możesz skosztować radości Caldei. Jedno lub dwa pojedyncze łóżka z bardzo twardymi materacami, dużo hałasu dochodzącego z alei i klientów powyżej, kwestionuję dobrą izolację akustyczną. Przyzwoite śniadanie.

My husband and I visited the Encamp Hotel with our 3 teenage boys for a new year ski trip. We were expecting a basic set up as the hotel is 3 star but were shocked at the complete lack of comfort available anywhere in the hotel. The beds were hard, pillows worse and not a single drawer to store clothes. Having said that the rooms were warm and there was always hot water. We were staying half board, but ended up eating out most nights as the evening meals on offer were dreadful and weren’t even warm. The soup was inedible and cold. Not what you need after a day on the slopes! The bottled beer offered was off and had strange things floating in it. Breakfast was fine and not really an issue. We felt bad for the staff of the hotel as they were very pleasant, especially Horacio in the restaurant. They did their best for us but we feel they are being let down by sun standard food being served and not having the facility to keep it hot. Really disappointing. On our final night of the holiday, a huge party of school children descended on the hotel, and completely took over the place! Running up and down corridors until I had enough and complained at midnight. The issue was handled as well as possible by the lady on reception but at no point did any of the teachers take control of these children until a complaint was made! I feel it’s completely unacceptable to allow a huge school party like that to arrive at the hotel without pre warning other guests. We should have been made aware and given the opportunity to cancel our booking, or the school should have been able to hire the entire hotel. The final night at the Encamp Hotel left us tired and fed up. Not what we needed with a 13 hour journey ahead of us. Definitely pay a little more and stay elsewhere!

It was all good except that there was no parking left at the hotel and it was difficult to find a free place in the area. Staff was kind and helpful. We got a triple room for a double, which was nice, and complimentary bottled water on the way out.

Had problems with the deposit charged for key locker (ski room). I see that others had those problem too. So lost 10 EUR with strange explanation from receptionist, poor. Rooms clean, but small. Food most often good, but sometimes cold. Location good.

Second time we have stayed @Gothard. Once in Jan 23 and then returned Mar 23. Both times for ski trips. I have no complaints about the hotel. It's Clean, staff are very friendly and very accomatating. Always a good selection of food. Everything we needed for out trip. The hotel is situated at the lower end of Arinsal (or Erts) at the bottom of the Hill. So a walk up hill into Arinsal. But the local Free Andbus stops outside the hotel regularly. We will certainly be happy to return to visit again.

The Hotel has a good location and easy access to the Fun Bus to get to the Funicamp Gondola. The staff at reception were not only very friendly but really helpful, so too were the staff in the Restaurant. They have a ski locker (not heated for boot use), but adequate. The cost of parking at the hotel is quite pricey and more than places close by. This is unnecessary, should be free for clients. The quality of the cooking of the food was well below what can be expected at such a location. In all fairness the chef needs to go back to chef school on how to prepare an edible buffet. Most meats were either completely overcooked or hard. Good cuts of pork, beef and chicken either pre-cooked and re-heated or just badly cooked. Sad to say many of the dishes were not as tasty as they could be. Rice was many times just over dry and the food was always between luke warm and cool to cold. They had a microwave there but that is simply NOT the point. So much is sent back to the kitchen to be thrown away because the food is simply badly cooked. Many deserts were simply put up the next day and were below par. I would hope a chef, properly trained would be proud of the food he serves. I am afraid, if he was, something is wrong. I say this for the improvement of the hotel and its attraction for future customers and not to be unkind but the facts must be faced. Some dishes were re-hashed for breakfast (which is per se not a problem) but the same dry rice was part of the re-hashed dish. Secondly the wifi downstairs near reception and in 1 or 2 places was good but in the rooms was intermittent, weak and close to useless. The fact it is free is not really the issue. Most people will NOT book an hotel without free wifi, and do take the time to read how good it is or is not. It is a standard nowadays so get it right first time.

Excellent! Friendly people, wonderful hotel, high level of cleanliness, great service, great food, quiet and safe area, hotel surrounded by nature, close to supermarket! Highly recommend! Would definitely come back :)
