"We found the hotel quite disappointing. Okay, but nothing special. We spent two nights there, and honestly, one was unnecessary. The staff wasn't very friendly. They could have been more attentive. The food was just okay, especially if you have any food intolerances, are vegetarian, vegan, etc. They have the bare minimum: rice with vegetables and fish. The breakfast was very basic. The rooms were adequate, but full of insects. ;) The pool is nice, although it must have been 45 degrees Celsius (113 degrees Fahrenheit), it felt like a water bath. At least it smelled of chlorine and looked clean. The owner was very friendly, though. I wouldn't recommend it for more than one night."

"What a fantastic place! We really enjoyed our stay here. The Lagoon rooms are spacious, with great bathrooms (light and size), and a deck that takes you right to the water, where you sit and watch/hear the remarkable birds in the area. The room price includes dinner and it's excellent. They have a series of activities -- we went to the Wednesday market and a birdwatching tour with lunch. The hotel's guide was great. It's also just five minutes taxi ride from one of the best collections of African art you can find in West Africa (Musée MAHICAO in Fimela)."
