Hotel was very nice. Well equipped, great buffet breakfast. The town itself was way too touristy. Wall to wall cuckoo clock shops, interspersed with cafés and pizzerias. The bad news was the lack of good service in the restaurant. We had breakfast there, and dinner there for three nights, and were either ignored or got ”attitude” from some of the waitstaff. That was the reason that this review did not give 5 stars.

Wir durften 2 Nächte im schönen Hotel Rainhof Scheune verbringen. Die Lage ist toll. In 8 Minuten ist man am Bahnhof Himmelreich und von dort aus hat man 16 Minuten mit der Bahn bis Freiburg im Breisgau. Wir hatten eine Suite gebucht und ich habe mich total in das Zimmer verliebt. Wir sind mit unserer Hündin angereist. Auch Hunde sind sehr willkommen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und das gesamte Personal überaus gastfreundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A exemplary welcome on the first day with a visit from the entire establishment to show us the various services offered All staff is pleasant and laughing, many even make a effort to speak French. The hotel has a spacious and clean room with balcony, with a full sugar/salate breakfast for all tastes, but the hotel does not offer a restaurant for lunch/night. (Neighbouring establishment is a good alternative to eat)

The location is good, just at the entrance to the ski resort, the ski slopes can be seen from the window and the scenery is beautiful. The room conditions are general, the attic, it seems very depressed. The front desk service was good, the breakfast was good, but the dinner at the hotel was average. Parking is free. The price is a bit expensive, not worthwhile, not recommended to live here.
