"We were disappointed by our stay at the Maya International in Flores. The restaurant has a great waterfront location and the food was very good. The hotel service was very bad. There is no English spoken among the staff. We asked for help with a restaurant reservation and confirmed they understood, but the restaurant did not have any record of the reservation. We had an early departure and needed a transfer to the airport, but despite confirmation of our request, there was no transfer arranged in the morning and they tried desperately but could not find a last minute ride for us. Luckily, a worker drove us in his truck or we would have missed our flight. I can not recommend this hotel."

"Hotel staff was friendly, breakfast was good, and the location is great; however the rooms are not much above old dorm rooms. This is an old hotel that has some modernization done to it, but the rooms are old, and dated. The pool bar is nice and the location is great. Despite the friendliness of staff, I might look for an hotel with nicer rooms if I was in Flores again, though I would not rule out staying here again if I found a room at a good price."

"Hotel room was on the top floor which would give good views although the communal terrace is right outside your window. For me, it was never a problem, but I can imagine if some rowdy guests were talking or drinking on the terrace it would cause disruptions."

"TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE – ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED I visited Ixpanpajul Nature Park and it was one of the worst travel experiences ever. • The prices are extremely high, but there is nothing worth seeing – just a boring and pointless walk. • While doing the canopy activity, oil was dripping from their equipment onto me, completely ruining my new shorts (see photos). • At the end, when I showed the damage to the reception staff, they simply laughed in my face and didn’t even apologize. • The level of service is unacceptable: for such prices, there should be at least basic care for customers, but here it’s total negligence. ⚠️ This place is abandoned, overpriced, and not worth a single penny. ❌ I absolutely do not recommend it. It was a disastrous and horrible trip."
