Small place which was basically a trailer tavern. Floor shakes a bit, while u are moving inside. If it rains, u can hear the sound clearly as sound proofing is not good.
The decoration of the room is light luxury style, very comfortable, four rooms on the second floor, each room has a single bed, a double bed, and tatami on the first floor. The dishes we bought in the supermarket are heated and eaten very affordable and comfortable. The only suggestion to the landlord, can you prepare a few bicycles? Convenient to go around.

Really clean room, as with all hotels in Japan, and the room was so white, aesthetically pleasing. Dedicated room for washing with detergents provided, vending machines and even bikes here for you to rent and use during your stay here. Beautiful view of Mt Fuji once you get up on a clear day, what’s not to love it here?
For more general details about Fufu Kawaguchiko, please read my review from October 2020... We decided at the last minute to pay a visit to the Fuji Five Lakes area because the weather forecast called for a clear day (and hopefully a clear view of Mt. Fuji.) Thankfully, one room was available, and it was the exact same room as the one we stayed at the first time (Fufu Luxury Premium Suite, Room #408.) It's a top-floor corner suite with a separate bedroom/living room along with an expansive balcony and a free-flowing, open-air Onsen (natural hot springs) bath. As rooms go, it's pure bliss. Modern, tastefully furnished and decorated, bright and airy, and has all of the amenities and features one would expect when staying at a relatively new high-end property. We still feel that Fufu doesn't make the best use of its space - it's a bit busy, and consequently seems a bit less spacious than its specifications suggest (it's officially 136 square meters, although someone we can't help but feel that they're counting the balcony space as part of the overall room size.) It's really less of a ryokan and more of a hotel with ryokan-style elements. Shoes don't need to come off (although you're advised to do so in the guest rooms), they provide ”Samue” (sort of spa pajama/style) outfits rather than the traditional (and albeit more pretty but less comfortable) Yukatas, but still retain some of the common ryokan charms (and a few drawbacks.) The staff are relatively young, hip and ”pretty”, and more casually friendly than the typical traditional ryokan, which is good or bad, depending on your perspective. We enjoyed the high-energy vibe of the place, although we also do enjoy the finesse and quaintness that top traditional ryokans exhibit as well (Asaba is a perfect example of this.) The clientele are also more youthful than most other properties that we've stayed at - this is where the young, wealthy and beautiful go to see and be seen, that's for sure. Again, not necessarily a bad thing, but just a FYI. Not much has changed from our last stay, although I will say that we enjoyed the food offering a bit more this time. We learned that they brought in a new head chef, and while it's not a night-and-day difference, we did notice a quality and creative improvement from last time. A few specialty dishes were once again served, including a unique cheese gratin with Natto (fermented soybeans that is slimy and has a pungent odor) for breakfast - we enjoyed the dish, but not sure how many Westerners can handle Natto, which is a very acquired taste. While we wish there was an option to have meals served in one's own room, we do think that Fufu needs to have more ”ko****su” private dining rooms in the restaurant. They only have a handful of them, and priority goes to large groups or families with small children. When we go to a high-end ryokan, we prefer not to dine in an open, restaurant-style environment. We requested a Ko****su in advance, and were only told we wo
We did not enjoyed our three nights stayed at this place. Pros: Location is near the station about 7min walk 7/11 near by Clean showers Tea and coffee Cons: - check out is at 10am, we have travelled a lot and this is the earliest check out ever. We check out at 10:10am and the staff were already hurting us up to leave the property rudely by clapping his hands. -Very thin wall, you can hear everything - the rooms has a lot condensation when turning on the AC to heat up. -Rooms are very small -Super freezing in the common areas as there is not heating - bed mattress are super uncomfortable and thin and - Ah check in staff leave the lining outside for you to do your own bed, after a long journey last thing I want to do is my own bed. Cmon! -a bit expensive for what you get. - sofa bed is very uncomfortable maybe for a child but not for an adult Search Agoda and you will find better rooms for another $10 dollars on top
This was the cutest most authentic villa near mt fuji. The owner is so gracious and hospitable. Great location near a small forest. There are no is o beds though. It’s cots on the floor but fairly comfortable. Great place to cook meals, outdoor bathtub was awesome!
Convenient transportation, parking lot is big enough, but the place to checkin is on the Hunan shore of the estuary. The hotel is on the north bank of the estuary lake. It is a little inconvenient, and you should pay attention to it. The checkin time is until 8 o'clock in the evening. The house is a bit musty. The room is large. The price is not too expensive by the estuary lake. There are four bicycles for free use, and Mount Fuji and fireworks can be seen in the room, but the equipment is not clean (with more dust), the next day the heating failure, and snow, but because no one can contact before 9 am, a little not so convenient.
The room is spacious and clean, and the bathroom and toilet are separated. There are free washing machines and dryers. Turn right at the first traffic light on the right when you go out. Within 5 minutes, you will find the check-in point of the Internet celebrity Lawson Supermarket and Lake Kawaguchi Bus Terminal. Walk straight on the road on the right when you go out and you will reach the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in 5 minutes. The transportation is very convenient. It is surrounded by residential areas so it is very quiet. Very good and worth recommending
Self-driving tour is a good choice, the environment is quiet the place is clean and tidy 👍🏻 can accommodate two families to travel together, making the itinerary more exciting and unforgettable, it is a journey worth remembering 😊

Outstanding
GGuest UserStayed one night with my family. No matter what the feature is, the food is delicious as a glamping. It's BBQ style, so of course we grill it ourselves, but I think the ingredients are good. Same goes for breakfast. Homemade cola is also excellent. I didn't eat it this time, but there were plenty of other homemade fruit wines and they looked delicious. The cottage-like accommodation was also neat. If I had to point out the drawbacks, it would be that we slept in a sleeping bag on a bed-like place, so we couldn't say that we were able to sleep comfortably. I couldn't help but feel sleep deprived. Correspondence of staff was very kind and seemed to be able to do hot spring facility in November (it was said that hot spring appeared as a result of boring.).
AAnonymous UserWhen I book this hotel there isn't any review so I thought maybe can give it a try. I have a pleasant stay in Yumeyado for 2 nights. The room is spacious for 2 person (tatami style), there is toilet inside room but the shower is opposite the building. I am surprised that the shower room is a Japanese type bath (sento) and we got a private bath. There is also kitchen facilities provided (cooking, microwave, fridge etc). What is missing is coin laundry (not available).
Location is 12 mins walk from Kawaguchiko station. There is a restaurant downstairs and 7-11 within 5 mins walk. Mt.Fuji is just right opposite and I was given a room with My. Fuji view.
GGuest UserThis is a decently nice, large ryokan-style hotel but it feels a bit old and shabby like a pre-bubble hotel which is past its glory days. The location was a lot more isolated than we were expecting, you really should have a car if you stay here as there is little in the immediate area and it's a decently long walk to the rest of town. I strongly disagree with the ”good for walkers” walkability rating that Tripadvisor gives it. The car does offer a free shuttle four times a day to Kawaguchiko station though which is nice. The rooms (at least the ones we stayed in) were ryokan style with tatami and futons. Both me and my companion found the futons very difficult to sleep in. I didn't get a good night's sleep any of my nights and woke up sore even after requesting an extra futon for support. The public onsen on the fourth floor was very nice and in my opinion quite large. Lastly, the WiFi ranged from terrible to passable. It would vary a bit from hour to hour but was often nearly unusable. This is not a ”bad” hotel by any means, just know what you're getting into. This place probably was more impressive back in the day but today feels slightly run down and not very modern.
AAntonWidodoPerfect place to stay for photographer of videographer alike who wants convenience of viewing Mt Fuji. You just need to cross the street and Mount Fuji is visible clearly. On top of that, the shuttle bus (red line) will also alight you right in front of the property, convenient! However, if you are particular about upkeep, amenities - then this is not what the property is offering. During our stay, I had to deal with insects, giant moth and spiders. The bed arrangement doesn't smell and look like the most hygienic too. In conclusion, the place is old - but the only motivation to stay here is the view of Mount Fuji!
老老KeyThe location of this Mount Fuji hotel is really convenient. It is right next to Kawaguchiko Station. We took the highway bus from Shinjuku and got off in front of the JR station. When we walked to the hotel, we met the management guy and our check-in time was still two hours away. We first dropped off our luggage and went out for lunch before getting back to the room. The room was very wide, and even if there were three people staying there, everyone would have their own space to rest. Kitchen supplies are included in the room! For dinner, we bought fresh vegetables and beef and went back to cook the pot. The most important thing is that the room can see Mount Fuji.
AAnonymous UserThe experience in this hotel is perfect!! The rooms are exactly the same with the official photos. We are so surprised when we get into the room. The house owners are very nice. They provided detailed restaurants and shops information about the district by sending us email. Free of charge bike renting service is also supplied.
It is a house of average Japanese family. There are two toilets and one bath room with bath tube. There are three super king size beds in total. Each can fits in two to three people or more. There is also an Tatami room for more bed spaces or luggages.
Rrichardswart78We loved our stay here. The staff at frontdesk is so nice and so helpful: whatever you need during your stay, they will arrange (car rental, Japanese seats for room, good restaurant-advice). The room is supplied with very nice thick duvets, Japanese-style tatami and futons, and you will find a fridge and kettle too. The shower is really nice, with good pressure and nice ‘n warm. Room is warm and comfortable. Located opposite the station, this place is surely recommended!
KkevinckEvery time I go to Japan, I stay in a hot spring hotel. In fact, I can try this relatively western-style hotel. This hotel is divided into the main building and the new building. The main building sells nostalgic colors. Basically, the furniture and buried rooms are relatively dilapidated, but it is still considered clean. In terms of the new building, the decoration is obviously more modern than the main building, and it has also set up a lot of different furnishings and decorations. The rooms are also larger, but of course the price is more expensive.
The hotel itself serves French meals, and the dinner is a four-course French meal, including appetizers, soup, main courses and desserts. The waitresses will also help you take a picture during the evening meal, and they will take a photo with you The check out day is given to you as a souvenir, and it has a few characteristics.
In fact, there is a beach across the road outside the hotel. At night, you will see many people park their cars on the beach, and then stay there for camping and cooking. It feels chill!
There is a coffee machine in front of the hotel. It turns out that the coffee machine is provided free of charge for guests to drink. Although it seems that you have to pay for it, you can’t get into the money rack. You can drink coffee directly by pressing the button㗎 la!
GGuest UserHotel of resort type on Kawaguchiko, west high. Right next to the ropeway platform. Parking space is at least 20, so I recommend early check-in. It seems that 90% of the employees are foreigners. Perhaps the corona was pushed by a group of red flag countries. Of course, the front desk staff is only foreigners, and if you don't listen to it hard, you will a little frustration that the conversation is not approved. The room is all rooms, facing the lake and Mt. Fuji is not visible. Meals are free to eat and drink. (although alcohol other than beer is not recommended) there are many local things, and I think Cospa is good at this price. It was delicious. Overall, it is a passing point, but the dissatisfaction is the sauna of 60 ℃ and the parking lot of the high pressure attitude (Japanese) Ochan. I had a relaxing and delicious time.
GGuest UserThe location is really good. When you wake up in the morning, you can see Mount Fuji directly. The view is amazing. But the hot spring ended too early in the evening, the bathroom is shared, and the accommodation is on tatami. But it can sleep even if there are many people. If you don’t have high requirements for accommodation, this hotel is still highly recommended.

LLuv traveling CoBeautiful and relaxing view at Lake Kawaguchi. Comfortable hot spring with an amazing Mount Fuji view.
Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway
LLMOOLMA must visit if you come to Lake Kawaguchiko! And it is super popular. We arrived at 8.35am and there was a short queue. Soon after, a big tour group came. We managed to take the first tram up. Each ride is about 5mins. The weather was great and the views were even greater! Unblocked views of Mt Fuji and its surroundings! There are hiking trails for those interested! We spent about an hour there and made our way down at about 10am. And the queue was crazyyyyy! They probably need to wait 2 hours or more!

西西等记忆In winter, the cruise ship seems to be not open. There are only four buses a day. After getting off the bus, I walked along the road for half an hour. I finally found the scene location of 1,000 yen and returned the same way, just in time for the next bus to go back. If it is high season and the weather is good, a boat tour should be a good choice. But in winter, there may be an extra depression and tranquility...
Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum
初初音麻友It's a little smaller than expected, but there are a few programs that are still possible. If you have more time, you can go shopping. European-style architecture is the highlight of this art gallery. If you like to take pictures, you can take a look. It belongs to the Internet celebrity art gallery ~.
Fujisan World Heritage Center
走走遍天下XZ#Go to the exhibition and see this museum should be seen before going up the mountain, so it may feel more like going up the mountain. We came back after going down the mountain, but it was also very shocking. The entire museum is divided into two museums in the north and south, each with two floors. The advanced north museum watches a movie. You can choose Chinese dubbing. You know that Mount Fuji looks like a volcano, but it is actually formed by several volcanoes erupting and covering each other. In the corridor on the second floor of the South Hall, you can see a large tent like a model of Mount Fuji, which is very beautiful. There are also cafes, souvenir sales departments, etc. in the museum, and the outdoor environment is also beautiful.
Lake Shōji
文文文玫瑰It is quite comfortable to stay in Kawaguchiko for two nights, especially the weather is good, the off-season is not many tourists~ The scenery here is still very good. The surrounding area is full of flowers. It is quite beautiful and the air is good! It is also very worth a visit!
Kawaguchiko Tenjozan Park
SSobel PhangKawaguchiko Tenjozan Park offers stunning views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, making it a picturesque destination for nature lovers. Accessible via a short cable car ride, the park features beautifully landscaped gardens and walking paths, perfect for a leisurely stroll. At the top, visitors can enjoy panoramic vistas, particularly striking during cherry blossom season or autumn when the foliage changes color. The park also has a small observation deck and areas for relaxation.
