Windsor Hotel

We had a wonderful long weekend at the Windsor Hotel apartments. We were 4 adults in the 3 bedroom apartment. The apartment suited us perfectly. The space and layout is excellent. The kitchen had everything we needed though we did have to ask for more coffee and tea and this was given. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The shower door in the one bathroom kept coming off the tracks and it was difficult to get the plug into the main bathroom bath because of the shower glass but those were the only complaints.

Historic seafront hotel (1896) but fully modernised interior. Bedrooms on the small side but well appointed. Aircon, tea and coffee making facilities, double beds emperor sized, shower but no bath, private off-road parking, five minute walk to town centre.

That this was our 4th stay at this hotel says it all and we will go again next year😁 You cannot get a better spot to whalewatch. From your room, the dining room and lounges. Big windows giving you lovely views of Windsor bay directly in front of the hotel, where whales love to play and entertain, right across the expanse of Walker Bay to Danger Point lighthouse and the new harbour to your right. And all along the cliff path just across the road from the hotel So many restaurants, coffee shops nearby. Safe and all within walking distance. The hotel is gracious. Beautiful antique furniture dotted everywhere and a lovely collection of black and white photos recording the history of the hotel and Hermanus Rooms are bright, airy. Beds are comfortable, crisp linen and lovely hot showers. Tea, coffee station in room with fresh crunchies replaced everyday. Breakfast is included and is enormously satisfying. Lots of choice Staff are super friendly and nothing's too much for them. We had a glitch with our safe in the height of the storm on Sunday night and I was hesitant to ask for help, they had so much to deal with but someone arrived promptly to sort it out. Anyhow now you know why we just love it there. Thank you to every staff member at the Windsor for making our stay as lovely as always

Just watch out The apartment you paid for is NOT the apartment in pictures on the hotel website This was actually confirmed by the manager Apparently they will have a new photo shoot in March 2024 So don't believe what you see on the photos Furthermore is was very nice apartment with beautiful view Walking distance to lots of restaurants

We stayed for 4 nights in the self-catering apartment. Splendid view of the bay from the balcony and large sitting area. Comfortable beds - apartment, including kitchen, nicely appointed. Easy walk to all Hermanus attractions.

An extremely clean and comfortable hotel in great position for everything Hermanus has to offer. And those magnificent sea views.

Visited the hotel with a group and stayed for three nights. The location is stunning and there is a lovely walk along the coastline from the hotel. The first room we were offered smelled of cat wee even though we were told there’d been no cat in the room. They kindly gave us another room with similar views. The hotel has a lounge with a fireplace which was lovely as the weather was cold. The breakfast was good and staff was friendly.

Had a one night stay whilst hoping to see whales. Had a sea view room. Spacious, comfy bed and great view of the ocean. All staff were friendly, easy check in. Walking distance to the centre. Only minor gripe would be to put 2 not 1 chairs in the room for whale watching! Breakfast tasty, omelette station and good service. Would recommend.

There were four of us traveling and we had booked a self-catering apartment. The apartment is located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, overlooking the sea. A garage in the inner courtyard was available to store the vehicle. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The apartment is very well equipped, modern and clean - for us it left nothing to be desired. We were warmly welcomed at the hotel reception. Check-in and check-out went quickly and smoothly. A hotel employee showed us the way to the apartment and the garage and helped unload the car. In summary: Great apartment and nice staff – we can recommend it.
