I am Hilton Diamond and stay at Hilton properties all over the country. I have not been to any other hotel with such a complete lack of Covid protocols in place. Not ONE staff member was wearing a mask and Covid is surging all over the country at the moment. The total disregard for health safety and protocols was alarming

We got to the hotel at 5am for a funeral at 1pm. The clerk suggested doing an early check-in so I'd have access to the room for the entire day. That was a life saver since I was able to get some additional rest before having to drive 4 hours back home.

Front desk employees pleasant enough. Well lit and some remodeling good. Location good. Both NON-smoking rooms tried smelled heavily of smoking (moved, but not much better so gave up) . Room had 1 set of towels, had to get more. Although left room at 9:30am (with ”do not disturb” sign removed) it was NOT made up, excuse was ”do not disturb sign” on..... before 9:30. NOT acceptable, should have checked later. Although all restaurants in area fully operational with no covid masks required anywhere, hotel still prohibited decent ”advertised” free breakfast giving only a paper bag with breakfast bar, child portion of yogurt and child portion of fruit (no danish, roll, cereal or any other common items), obviously CHEAP owner or Wyndham taking advantage of the situation to cheat customers out of advertised benefit. So, basically would NEVER return and considering the benefit of our Wyndham rewards. Recently retired and expecting a lot more travel maybe we should consider a different hotel chain.

Thought the hotel was nice overall. The room was clean and smelled nice. Liked the bathroom Roomy and had a nice shower that actually had hot water. We had a queen room. It was small but had what we needed we didn’t stay in the room but in the evening. The downside, people could park right under your window. We were downstairs. Also had another hotel adjacent. People were playing loud music in their cars and talking loud. You could here the people in next room almost word for word and it sounded like the people above were stomping on the floor. Online says hot breakfast or host would serve you eggs and such if you asked but never saw the breakfast host when we were there. They did have waffles you could make and had cereal, bananas and yogurt and some pastries along with juice and coffee. If it weren’t for the noise It would’ve been fine.

This was our 2nd stay and we love the comfort of this room. The bed has just the right amount of firmness, Most hotels the beds are too soft for us. Everything was clean and nice. the only drawback was the breakfast, The biscuits were hard and the juices out of the machine were all watery, like the the concentrate water ratio wasn't right.

We visited Hickory to go to the furniture mart. This hotel is adjacent to the mart, so it was a perfect location. So was everything else. At a time when hotels are doing less and less, this hotel did more. I booked the hotel the same day I arrived. I put in a request for a high floor/interior room, and someone (initials CC; I couldn't read her name tag) had already reviewed my request and moved us to our requested room type. This has happened exactly zero times in the past two years. They had fresh-baked cookies in the lobby in the afternoon. They had a very nice hot buffet breakfast in the morning. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. I recently switched from Marriott to IHG, because I was so unhappy with Marriott's service. This experience makes me think I made the right decision. Also- there are numerous fast-casual restaurants within a 5 minute drive. There's an Applebee's and a Panera within easy walking distance.

Front desk employees pleasant enough. Well lit and some remodeling good. Location good. Both NON-smoking rooms tried smelled heavily of smoking (moved, but not much better so gave up) . Room had 1 set of towels, had to get more. Although left room at 9:30am (with ”do not disturb” sign removed) it was NOT made up, excuse was ”do not disturb sign” on..... before 9:30. NOT acceptable, should have checked later. Although all restaurants in area fully operational with no covid masks required anywhere, hotel still prohibited decent ”advertised” free breakfast giving only a paper bag with breakfast bar, child portion of yogurt and child portion of fruit (no danish, roll, cereal or any other common items), obviously CHEAP owner or Wyndham taking advantage of the situation to cheat customers out of advertised benefit. So, basically would NEVER return and considering the benefit of our Wyndham rewards. Recently retired and expecting a lot more travel maybe we should consider a different hotel chain.

Thought the hotel was nice overall. The room was clean and smelled nice. Liked the bathroom Roomy and had a nice shower that actually had hot water. We had a queen room. It was small but had what we needed we didn’t stay in the room but in the evening. The downside, people could park right under your window. We were downstairs. Also had another hotel adjacent. People were playing loud music in their cars and talking loud. You could here the people in next room almost word for word and it sounded like the people above were stomping on the floor. Online says hot breakfast or host would serve you eggs and such if you asked but never saw the breakfast host when we were there. They did have waffles you could make and had cereal, bananas and yogurt and some pastries along with juice and coffee. If it weren’t for the noise It would’ve been fine.

This was our 2nd stay and we love the comfort of this room. The bed has just the right amount of firmness, Most hotels the beds are too soft for us. Everything was clean and nice. the only drawback was the breakfast, The biscuits were hard and the juices out of the machine were all watery, like the the concentrate water ratio wasn't right.

We visited Hickory to go to the furniture mart. This hotel is adjacent to the mart, so it was a perfect location. So was everything else. At a time when hotels are doing less and less, this hotel did more. I booked the hotel the same day I arrived. I put in a request for a high floor/interior room, and someone (initials CC; I couldn't read her name tag) had already reviewed my request and moved us to our requested room type. This has happened exactly zero times in the past two years. They had fresh-baked cookies in the lobby in the afternoon. They had a very nice hot buffet breakfast in the morning. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. I recently switched from Marriott to IHG, because I was so unhappy with Marriott's service. This experience makes me think I made the right decision. Also- there are numerous fast-casual restaurants within a 5 minute drive. There's an Applebee's and a Panera within easy walking distance.

We got to the hotel at 5am for a funeral at 1pm. The clerk suggested doing an early check-in so I'd have access to the room for the entire day. That was a life saver since I was able to get some additional rest before having to drive 4 hours back home.

I am Hilton Diamond and stay at Hilton properties all over the country. I have not been to any other hotel with such a complete lack of Covid protocols in place. Not ONE staff member was wearing a mask and Covid is surging all over the country at the moment. The total disregard for health safety and protocols was alarming
