We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and pleasant, especially the very nice lady at breakfast. The room was recently renovated, and the bed was extremely comfortable. My wife and I were there for the Lauren Daigle concert at the Orion Amphitheater. It is a close walk from the hotel, and definitely the way to go. The walk is a direct line, well lit, and there were plenty of other people around. After we got back to our room we noticed that 45 minutes later cars were still backed up, trying to leave the venue. This is now our place to stay in Huntsville!

My stay at the Drury Inn & Suites Huntsville was wonderful. Check-in was simple and easy, and the room was very nice and spacious. We didn't get to take advantage of the nightly events, but we did get breakfast each morning, which was very good! The facilities were nice and the hotel has lots of parking available. It's close to a lot of activities, restaurants and shopping such as, the Space and Rocket Center and Bridge Street Town Centre. There is a nice area with snacks, water and sodas with a self-checkout area, as well as an ATM. We will definitely stay here again!

Do not let the pictures fool you! This is the nastiest place that I have ever been to in my entire life. Our plans changed at the last minute. We had to attend a wedding. This was the very last hotel room available in Huntsville. I now know why! It was a busy fall weekend. There was a big football game. People were on their way to Florida for fall break. When we pulled up, the clientele was scary. It looked like a crack hotel!!!! I think some of the people staying there were homeless. As a matter of fact, the room a few doors down from us had suffered a fire. My assumption is that someone had been cooking meth. There were bugs on the walls. We slept in our street clothes! We didn't even shower there. We stacked the furniture up in front of the door because we were afraid that someone would come in our room! As soon as the sun rose, we left! Do not stay here under any circumstances!!!!

I spent two nights (a Friday night and a Saturday night) at this DoubleTree with a couple of friends when we were visiting the Huntsville area. Overall, I was not terribly impressed. For starters, my friends and I arrived after the official check-in time, but our room was not ready and we had to wait about 30-45 minutes in the lobby before we could get to our room. However, the room itself was clean and comfortable and a nice arrangement with a bedroom that was separate (with a closed door) from the living area. That was nice. However, aren't guests supposed to be offered a warm cookie whenever they check in at a DoubleTree? I wasn't offered a cookie... not that it mattered all that much, but it's a nice touch that makes DoubleTree special, and it was lacking here. The second problem we had was that I'd specifically requested housekeeping service for our stayover day, and it was not done. Quite annoying. Third, when I went to check out on Sunday morning, I asked for a printed copy of my receipt... but the clerk had to walk to some other room way in the back to grab it for me. I had to wait something like 5 minutes for it before I could leave. I can't speak to the breakfast because my friends and I had breakfast elsewhere... but one thing I noticed was that the bar didn't appear to be open at all during our stay which was disappointing to see. One redeeming quality of the hotel, besides the niceness of the room, was that there was a business center where I could use the computers to surf the net which is what I often like to do during my downtime whenever I'm traveling. This DoubleTree is an older property but it's kept up okay. I was just not impressed at all with the way it seemed to be managed. I'm a diamond-level Hilton Honors member and didn't feel as if I was treated that way. I should have asked to speak with a manager but was so focused on other things that I didn't bother. I considered giving this hotel a Poor (2-star) rating but I opted for an Average rating because the property itself is fairly decent and I slept well. I will never stay at this DoubleTree again.

This was a very good experience. The hotel was very close to the space center which was our destination. The restaurant was very good. I had one of the best hamburgers I’ve ever had. And the Cobb salad was enormous! We had leftovers for lunch the next day. The two waitresses Emma and Emily were especially friendly and nice. The room was very clean; we had a junior suite and I was surprised by the separateness of the living area and the bedroom. There were two TVs, and we opened the bathroom door to make kind of a sound barrier between the two rooms and it worked great. The bed was comfortable. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel.

I expect a certain quality from Hilton hotels. This hotel did not disappoint. I thought the desk clerks were very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The young lady who checked us in was very thorough with her explanations and details. I appreciated the cleanliness of the inside and outside of the property. My room FELT clean and the desk clerk.clearly explained how the cleaning service works. The only complaint that I would have is that the pillows are way too soft for my liking, but that is a personal preference. The toilet seemed really low. It was hard to get up from the toilet. Perhaps it's time for me to select an accessible cabin instead. But finally I want to say I would stay there again definitely because I am always pleased with what I get when I book with Hilton.

My GF and I visited Huntsville to see a show and intended on getting here before the show, changing, and heading out. We arrived about an hour before the show started to have plenty of time to change and head out, but when we arrived there was no one at the front counter. There is a phone there that says 'Pickup for service' and it rings a phone inside the front office. We waited 10 minutes with the phone ringing, looking up and down the hallway and on the security cameras in the office to see if anyone was coming. We saw two people moving a mattress inside somewhere but couldn't find where it was. I then called Sonesta corporate number who tried contacting the hotel by calling the same front office for another 5-10 minutes. They then called another number, which must have been a cell phone, and said that ”the associate is helping a guest with a problem and will come down when they are done.' The corporate representative stayed on the phone for another 5 minutes and said that the front desk person was coming down and hung up without ensure they arrived. We waited another 10 minutes without seeing anyone and had to leave to get changed and arrive on time. Besides the horrible and stressful non-check-in, the hotel was not to the standards expressed by other reviews here. It is clearly just apartments by another name and fill up extra rooms for extra money. In the office, there was a room list that showed about 8 rooms that are listed as ”ONE NIGHT STAYS ONLY” that I assume we would have been placed in. The grounds and lobby were not clean. There were a group of about 5 men hanging out in the laundry room, which was discomforting. Any regular hotel you drop your laundry and head back to your room until it is done. TLDR; Never saw a worker for 35 minutes, dirty, recent good reviews are unreliable, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STAY HERE.

This was a very good experience. The hotel was very close to the space center which was our destination. The restaurant was very good. I had one of the best hamburgers I’ve ever had. And the Cobb salad was enormous! We had leftovers for lunch the next day. The two waitresses Emma and Emily were especially friendly and nice. The room was very clean; we had a junior suite and I was surprised by the separateness of the living area and the bedroom. There were two TVs, and we opened the bathroom door to make kind of a sound barrier between the two rooms and it worked great. The bed was comfortable. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel.

We didn't get to take advantage of the nightly events, but we did get breakfast each morning, which was very good! The facilities were nice and the hotel has lots of parking available. It's close to a lot of activities, restaurants and shopping such as, the Space and Rocket Center and Bridge Street Town Centre. Where do I start. We arrived to check in at the front desk and was told we were assigned the ”Cabana Rooms.” We were assigned a room on the second floor, and, silly us, asked for the location to the elevators. We were told we didn't need one. We took that on face value, as we have been to hotels where the first floor turns into a second floor. Luckily we chose to find the room before bringing our luggage. We went down the hallway as directed - which led outside, then down a covered area to a separate building. We walked in, and had to go up a flight of stairs, down the end of a zig zag hallway, to a room at the very far end. We failed to see the closet door when we first entered the building which led to the secret elevator. Even if we found the elevator, there wouldn't have been a cart to use. Not knowing about the elevator, we felt we had no choice but to drive the car around to park near the side door at the back of the hotel on the far end and hoof our luggage up a rather steep staircase. Once in the refreshed room, we found that it was pretty dark. The room had a balcony that was locked. We did find places for our bags and the closet area was fine. The bathroom was nice but the barn door didn't always close. Beds were comfortable. We needed to do laundry. We discovered after a lengthy walk that it takes credit cards, not change. It did work well, but it was expensive, like $7 to wash and dry a load. The pool area was nice enough but needed shade. The gym area was quite large and well equipped. Breakfast was interesting. We were unsure of it's location and asked. We were directed to the podium for the Southern Chop. Apparently not many go there because we waited for a while before my husband investigated. He found someone to help us. We were then directed to a table. I chose the oatmeal, which arrived in a large bowl of oatmeal with 4 berries in one corner. No cranberries, or brown sugar, or nuts. My son and husband got the pancakes but had to wait for them to arrive a while after I was served. Overall this is a very large, old property. The Cabana building arrangement should at least be clarified at the front desk as to where to park and where to find the elevator. The outside could use a real facelift. Our room was refreshed but pretty dark. The one positive was that it was within walking distance to the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center which was really outstanding. It also offered easy access to get to anywhere in Huntsville. Honestly we wouldn't stay here again. There are several options in the area that may be a better choice.

They then called another number, which must have been a cell phone, and said that ”the associate is helping a guest with a problem and will come down when they are done.' The corporate representative stayed on the phone for another 5 minutes and said that the front desk person was coming down and hung up without ensure they arrived. We waited another 10 minutes without seeing anyone and had to leave to get changed and arrive on time. Besides the horrible and stressful non-check-in, the hotel was not to the standards expressed by other reviews here. It is clearly just apartments by another name and fill up extra rooms for extra money. In the office, there was a room list that showed about 8 rooms that are listed as ”ONE NIGHT STAYS ONLY” that I assume we would have been placed in. The grounds and lobby were not clean. There were a group of about 5 men hanging out in the laundry room, which was discomforting. Any regular hotel you drop your laundry and head back to your room until it is done. TLDR; Never saw a worker for 35 minutes, dirty, recent good reviews are unreliable, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STAY HERE.

We had planned to spend one night here before a 6:15 am flight, but a once in a lifetime winter storm resulted in a four night stay. The hotel has a great staff, comfortable and quiet rooms, and a good location for airport travelers. I cannot compliment the staff enough during our stay. One thing that guests should be aware of, the hotel restaurant is only open from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm due to covid. I had turned in my rental car, so leaving the property for a meal was limited. There were some prepared breakfast items at the front desk. The only other food options is in the concourse food court which is inside the secure area of the airport. A helpful TSA employee suggested we ask for a gate pass from our airline which we did. You can also go through security if you have a boarding pass. The hotel restaurant was good, but we were looking for a little variety since we were stranded for four days. This hotel is a great option if you have an early morning flight and wish to stay at the airport.
