Well…what can we say. We’re just packing up and saying good bye to the wonderful team at The Standard, Maldives. We actually came to The Standard this time last year (May/June 2022) and returned this year because we fell so in love with this magical place. Last year we got engaged at The Standard and the team went so above and beyond to accommodate us throughout our stay, but especially on the night of our engagement. We had a beautiful candle lit, private dinner. It was more than we could have asked for. We of course had to return when the opportunity arose. On arrival to Male, we were transported to The Standard’s new lounge, where a member of the team looked after us. We immediately felt like we were on holiday. We sat on the balcony, in the sunshine, watching the sea planes take off and land, helping ourselves to the fully stocked fridges for drinks and snacks. The team let us know when it was our turn to fly and escorted us to the correct waiting area (where we waited literally 10 minutes) it was all made so stress free and easy! We were welcomed to The Standard this year, with lots of familiar faces and some new ones too. It was particularly great to see Eva, Shasha and Shak again. All who were so accommodating and hospitable on both visits. We also met the super new GM, Ryszard, who very kindly welcomed us with some complimentary goodies when we were taken to our room. Eva is incredible. She’s super woman. She was always there to help us when we needed her, to plan our days, visits and bookings…anything from booking our dinner reservations, the tennis court, to booking us on to a Dolphin Cruise. She is a fantastic host. She kept us up to date regularly with the new schedules, packages available for the spa and water sports, slight changes due to weather change etc. Everything was thought about, and it was so organised. We went for breakfast and lunch at Kula every single day…how could we not? We were welcomed by the lovely Shak and Soobie, and the rest of the hard working team. So polite and respectful. Always there to make sure we are okay and happy. Our drinks were always replenished when needed/wanted. The variety of food is beyond your expectations. We were never left feeling hungry. There is obviously a lot of hard work and organisation that goes in to these meal times. Shasha and his team at the evening restaurants, BBQ Shak and GuduGuda were fantastic. We looked forward to every single meal time to be welcomed and fed by the restaurant staff. They go above and beyond to meet your wants and needs. The food is 5 star and so delicious. It is nice to have and try a mixture of local food, and food that we are familiar with. The bar staff are phenomenal. So friendly and helpful, always asking how our day has been. No order is a hard one for them. Again, replenishing drinks when we needed them at the pool. We absolutely loved visiting the spa last year, where we had a massage, a facial and I had a manicure. It takes a long time to fly to the water, and the weather will also change the flight, so it is best to stay in Male for one night, after all, the cost of one night on the island is very expensive. This island is very small, there are not many residents in non-peak season, there are not many villas, semi-water villas are very good. Basically, there are many Italian guests on the island, and usually there are few people participating in various water activities. It is necessary to discuss the price separately, such as snorkeling by speedboat alone, and fishing alone to see dolphins. If the guest’s English is not very good, the island will cheat students. When we check out, I actually have to pay for the seaplane. Free accommodation for children has also become a charge. I directly called Ctrip and refused to pay. The scenery is very good, the sea snorkeling is very beautiful, I saw groups of dolphins, but the island lacked some activities and atmosphere, I went back to the hotel to sleep early in the evening. Therefore, the arrangement during the day is very full, using US dollars as RMB flowers. There are good snorkeling corals on the right front of the pier and next to the billiards hall. We had the best time ever here for our 35th wedding anniversary...Nizam went above and beyond with supervising the house keeping of our room and the standards were to the highest quality...Sumith the supervisor of cafe mass and the thavaa went over and above to make us welcome every time we went for a drink or something to eat,somya at cafe mass always has a smile on her face and very pleasant ...on the whole and can not fault meedhupparu at all

This was our third visit to this resort, we keep coming back! We have stayed in the lagoon villa and beach villas, I personally love the sunset beach villa, but I've seen manta rays and dolphins whilst showering in the lagoon villa! The reason we come back each year is due to of course the wonderful resort, beautiful beach but it's the staff who help to make each stay special. Nothing is too much, each request is dealt with promptly and with a smile. Jaleel our curator was friendly and very efficient. Damson set up a beautiful floating breakfast for us in our villa pool. Each day we loved chatting to the various F&B staff, Sweety, Ali, Sammy and Bobbin, Kishore and Alok. I wish I could mention each member of staff, from the housekeepers, grounds maintenance to the Chefs and of course Kuetzer the GM! Everyone is genuinely friendly, always greeting us with a hello and a smile. The Villas were spacious and everything one would need was provided. The pool was a good size and having beach access was wonderful. The food was always very tasty. We would request certain dishes off the menu, and we were never disappointed! My only slight negative would be the kids club, the staff are so lovely, but I have always felt that there were a lack of resources and activities for older children (8+). Yes there are games consoles, but I'd love for my children to feel engaged in an activity which was not screen based. This Easter, the hotel organised for Sharkey and George (events based company) to run special activities for the children. This was done so well and was such a success. My two children 8 and 10 didn't want to leave the kids club activities! They genuinely loved spending time with Josie and Jonas (from the Sharkey and George team). If the kids club are able to incorporate some of those activities and energy that would help to improve it. Will we be back? Yes, I'm sure we will! Just to note, April is hot! Each stay of ours has been during Easter and the weather is hot and can be uncomfortable when there's no breeze!

Me and my family travelled to the Furarevi resort for a short 14 days. The service was impeccable and very personalised. During our stay I encountered a number of staff members who were proud to represent the business and were very perspicacious with their thoughts. However, a number of staff members went above and beyond to express politeness as well as strong work ethic. The fitness coach/entertainer Karim provided excellent showman ship and a friendly demeanour throughout our stay, his talents are none like i’ve seen before and we had multiple discussions about new acts and how he wanted to improve them to further excite the experience of the guests. One to watch. At the pool bar I would like to mention that Gokul, Crish, Adele, Sangeeta and Hari with their fast service and attention to detail. The staff all had a positive, work ready mind-set and continued to provide this through their long shifts with smiles on their face. Thirdly, the staff at Amigos were always looking for new guests to show off their amazing food and friendly customer service. The kitchen staff were very fast with food requests and were concise with their food preparation skills. Elton worked the bar during the holiday and was always optimistic, sharing his ability to provide great customer service. Finally, The buggy drivers were always polite and gave a welcoming smile no matter how hot the weather was. Harka, Dhombe and Milan were especially helpful; giving advice on restaurants; providing directions when needed; and any other general advice we may need during our stay. I would personally visit the resort again, and hopefully see some of your faces in the future.

Really good hotel, it was estimated that there was change, so I changed the island temporarily, holding the attitude of trying, I didn’t expect it to be very good, the rooms were big, the staff were very warm, and there were not many people on the island. I took a circle for about half an hour and lived for five days and four nights. The food was delicious at the beginning. I couldn’t stand it for five days. The trip and stay in Reethi Faru will remain unforgettable in our memories. There was nothing to complain about. We only booked breakfast, which turned out to be right for us. So we were able to eat in one of the restaurants on the island every evening. With full board or all inclusive, dinner would only have been possible in the main restaurant (buffet), or in one of the other restaurants only for an additional charge. The rooms are well maintained and cleaned properly. Coffee, tea and water are refilled daily in the room free of charge. Room service twice a day, which we didn't use because we put ”do not disturb” on the door after the morning cleaning. The staff are without exception courteous and helpful. We also spent a lot of time in the diving center (we got certified). The management of the diving center is under Swiss management and it is precisely this Swiss quality of reliability that is demonstrated.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at JB. Went there as one of our destinations for our 25th anniversary. Overall rating: 9/10   JB is an extremely beautiful place. Ultraluxury accommodation in a paradisiac environment. Architecture is stunning and fully integrated with local nature. Gardening is manicured, but at the same time respectful with endemic species. Decoration of common and private spaces is extremely tasteful, ample spaces everywhere that seem to have been designed with attention to every single detail.   Service is top-notch. From the people that deal directly with guests, to the large team in charge of keeping everything tidy. After an overnight trip from London, we were welcomed at the hotel lobby/port/marine airport, a stunning architectural design, by the hotel manager and several members of the team.   We were introduced to Razan, who was going to be our butler for the stay. Razan conducted himself with the right mix of professionalism and warming attitude. As with the rest of the operation, he was always on top of details, making sure we were happy and comfortable. Perfect butler that make our stay pleasant.   Service at common areas was again at an extremely high level. Beach and swiming-pool are very well attended. Bars and lunch area also very well served. Dinner service also really good. Reception at the restaurants was handled very professionally by several young woman, always with a welcoming smile. Waiters also super attentive at all times, to bring you anything you needed with a great attitude. Henry, in charge of this service team, came every single day to say hello and to spend a few minutes chatting with us and make sure everything was going well.   Food is at very high standard. Light salads nicely presented and tasteful. Meat and fish very well cooked. Menu is a mix of international cuisine with presence of Asian flavours and some local touch. JC, in charge of directing all cooking, also came to introduce himself and offered his help if we needed anything special. They do a very good job at the kitchens.   In terms of facilities, the overall theme of this resort is wellness, so as you can expect, SPA and GYM areas were at a super-high level. The SPA is one of the most gorgeous we have ever seen, a dream for instagramers, with a number of treatments to your taste. The Gym is absolutely first class, also in a large beautiful building, with several professionals and complimentary physical activities. Service in these facilities, again super pleasing and helpful.   At this ultra-luxury level of facilities and service, complaining of anything does not seem right, but let us address some areas to improve. ”Flow” is the name of the main restaurant, that is used both for breakfast and dinner; the transition of ambiances from day to night is very well thought-out, it feels like two different places, equally gorgeous. ”Mojo” is the alternative restaurant, that is next to the swimming pool, used for lunch, as all day bar, an
