Amazing history and location. So pleased we stayed here. Hadn’t realised it was in huge strategic location for Great War. Trenches and bunker in the grounds set the scene amazingly for our trip to the area. So much better than a place in town. Right next to hooge crater museum. Room was spacious and simple with comfy bed. Had a great beer in quirky bar. Decent continental breakfast. Staying here was big component of a super interesting couple of days. Feel like I got very lucky with this find.

The food was very tasty and good value, only downside was when we visited the restaurant wasnt open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for evening meals. Breakfast is fantastic though, a very varied choice and you can eat as much as you like. Rooms are lovely with very comfortable beds, the rooms are serviced every day.

Nice place. Warm welcome and the rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. Breakfast was nice, a good selection of continental foods and awesome pastries. It’s clean, friendly, charming and better than many 3 star hotels I’ve stayed in. Very short drive to Ypres as well. Recommended, will return.

Very comfortable and clean accommodation. Superb breakfast with plenty of choice. Plenty of free parking available. Great location for visiting Ypres and WW1 battlefield sites, cemeteries and museums.

We were visiting Ypres and after a bit of research this looked like one of the better places to stay with the bonus of it being outside the town centre meaning we didn’t have any issues with parking. Upon arrival we had a warm welcome at reception. The room itself was a bit old fashioned but was in tune with the style of the area. It was a rather large room so plenty of space to spread about - same with the bathroom. The room did however lack some basics however such as tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer etc. The bed also wasn’t the most comfortable one we’ve slept in. Breakfast was ok. I’m not a fan of continental breakfasts so you’ll never hear me rave about them but we knew this was the breakfast they offered at the point of booking so can’t hold that against them. Location wise though it really is perfect. Less than a 10 minute drive from the centre of Ypres, walking distance from the Hooge Crater Museum & 5 mins driver from Sanctuary Wood so perfect for those wanting to explore some historic sites.

We had the studio for us and our two teenage boys. Was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Wish we had time to stay longer. Will return if we are in the area again.

We had booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children and were very lucky to be in a 2 bed apar**ent! It was exceptionally clean. Bed was probably the most comfortable I have slept in! Breakfast was very good also. No complaints at all, would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful old style building and very nice garden at rear. There is a new annexe, but this is very modern architecure which unfortunately doesn't go at all with the original building. There is an interesting parc at the side of the hotel with WW 1 artefacts. Interesting. Rooms with plenty of space and very quiet, so a good nights sleep is guaranteed! There is a restaurant, but the menu is limited - and very expensive. 19 Euros for a shrimp omlette! For other eating possibilities you must take the car and drive into the town. Breakfast buffet is simple but adequate

We stayed here for a WW1 road trip. Amazing room on the first floor overlooking the courtyard. Breakfast was good and coffee hot. Just what we wanted. Host is welcoming and gave us the local information. The gardens and famous crater are a must see and made a great first impression on my son.
