The soundproofing was poor. It was an old-fashioned wooden cabin-style hotel located in the town center."

"Juno didn't have many chain hotel options, and she wasn't sure what to expect before going. But once she arrived, she found this hotel to be quite nice. The rooms weren't large, but they were clean and tidy. Most importantly, the location was excellent, making it convenient to go anywhere. There were restaurants and bars nearby, which was great."

"The booking process was very stressful. I was trying to book directly through the hotel and I kept getting directed to a third party. I’ve had bad experiences with ******* and prefer to book directly with the hotels. The hotels were showing full for July 2nd, apparently due to the holiday. I found the Aspen Suites and booked it for $258. I felt that it was extremely expensive for what seems like a budget hotel. I understand the supply and demand concept but I felt that I was being gouged. When we arrived at the airport I tried calling the hotel to see if they had a shuttle and I couldn’t get through. It was around 8:30 pm (not like it was the middle of the night). We ended up taking a taxi. When I checked in, the lady was not pleasant at all and not very helpful. I signed a paper that stated the rate for the night as. $228 including tax. I asked for a copy and she refused. The next day I spoke to the manager, who was not unpleasant and he explained the process of booking through a third party which I already knew. Obviously, my first impression of Juneau Alaska was not good. The next day I realized that the majority of the people were not friendly. In general they are not tourist friendly at all. First and last time for Juneau and definitely the Aspen Suites hotel!"
