Villas Cape

We stayed here for a week with several family members. We stayed in three of the 3 floored villas located on the left when you drive into the property. These three villas shared one pool. The first thing we noticed was the photos online of the beach are misleading. They show a decent sized beach with white sand and umbrellas. The beach is very small, not sandy and has no chairs or umbrellas. The water front is nice for exploring but very rocky. There are nice beaches close by. The closest is about a ten min walk. Location: The resort is nice because it’s on a point so you have nice water views and sunset views. Other than walking to the one beach I mentioned, you will need a car as it’s pretty far from everything. With a car it’s easy to commute but you absolutely need a rental to pick up groceries and see the island. Our children are young adults and they found the location too remote. They would have preferred being closer to things. Grounds: this is a large property and the grounds are kept clean. Pools: good size and clean. Ours had an outdoor cooking area and pergola which was nice for the entire family to come together for dinner. No firewood/coals were provided for the bbq so make sure to pick that up in town. Pool towels are provided. Villas: they are much smaller and dated than the photos show. Four of us stayed in one Villa. Our villa was Anemos. This Villa is directly behind the larger villa in the centre of the property. That Villa blocked the sunsets so if that’s important to you I would pick a different villa. There were two bedrooms upstairs that had queen beds with hardly enough room to walk around the beds. They shared a very basic bathroom with a small shower. The basement had 4 twins in one room. There is an access door from the basement out to the pool which is nice. There are two showers in the basement. They are right across from the each other and neither have doors/curtains. There is also no door to the space the showers are in. The kids thought that was strange. I think a better and more private layout could have been made with the space. The beds in all rooms were VERY HARD! This was a problem for all of us. All three of our families villas had hard beds and we all had sore backs. There isn’t much extra bedding to even put underneath to try to soften the beds. They are very basic villas and are starting to look worn. Kitchen is stocked with the basics and dish soap but you will need to pick up everything else. I would recommend the greenery around this second story kitchen and living balcony be cut back as it’s so overgrown that you can’t see the pool. Internet: wifi was HORRIBLE. In summary: this place is good for a large group as long as you have a car. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, away from everything and just want down time it’s nice. Not sure what it would be like if we had to share the pool with strangers. If you are a pool person rather than a beach person it’s nice to see the ocean from the pool. Beac
