Liberatos Village

"Arrived late at night having booked a last minute deal for a 10 day room only basis, didn't expect it to be literallythat,room large and airy, great air conditioning and comfy new bed, however just that with a fridge and kettle and a rail with 5 coat hangers, no drawers to put our clothes away so had to leave them in the suitcase. Room only cleaned once in 10 days although toilet and kitchen bins emptied daily. Bathroom was quite grim, shower didn't drain very well and constantly found long black hair on the bathroom floor which had obviously backed up via the drain, as I have short blonde hair and my husband virtually none we knew it wasn't ours!Don't get me started on the toilet brush. We did have a balcony with a wonderful view of the bay so can't complain about that. The pool area was beautiful, very clean with amazing sunbeds with thick comfortable cushions, however on the couple of times it rained these soaked up the rain like a sponge so you ended up on a bed that just didn't dry out. Free clean towels to use though so that's a positive. Staff particularly the young girls in reception friendly and helpful but never once did the owner/manager seem to engage with guests. Bar and food prices expensive so only ate here a couple of times. Steep walk into lassi but the views made up for that. Had to check out at 11.30am for a pick up at 6pm. Only place you could shower and get ready was in the one shower by the pool, this and the two toilets available had no locks and accessible to anyone so my husband had to keep guard and then no area to get changed this really needs addressing. We had a fabulous holiday in lassi and would go back to liberatos if these issues were addressed but somehow don't think they will be based on previous reviews. Huge potential what could be the most perfect place to stay"

Melidron Hotel

"A group of 13 old wrinklies visited for 7 days, primarily to watch England in the Euros (forget about that), the hotel was very comfortable only a short walk from the beach and restaurants and the staff lead by manageress Wendy, supported by bar staff Theo, Arries and Costas were brilliant. The 2 lads stayed open all hours until the last man was no longer standing (4.45am one morning) all couldn’t do enough for us. The pool is great and the breakfasts more than adequate with choice of cereals, hot food and continental breakfast with fruit, juice, tea or coffee. We had a great time, thank you! Here’s to the next one! Dave"

Koxyli Studios & Apartments

"Koxyli is in a very nice, quiet part of the island. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment was clean and had all needed amenities. Stavros is maybe the best host I have ever had. He is kind, attentive, helpful, and is willing to make your stay comfortable however he can. I 1000% recommend staying here"

Mouikis Hotel Kefalonia

"The hotel has a great location, not far from the beach, and plenty of restaurants nearby. There's a small supermarket to the right of the hotel entrance where you can buy yogurt and other similar items. Behind the hotel is a commercial street where you can shop, but the shop owners are quite casual, and some close very early. The room has a small balcony, not too big or too small. The only drawback is the poorly designed bathroom; the shower is too small, and the toilet paper isn't even next to the toilet! You can arrange airport or ferry pick-up through the hotel on Ctrip, but this will incur an additional fee."

Astra Village Hotel Suites

"We stayed here for one week in May with my family and booked the half-board option. Overall, the hotel is very pleasant. The pool and communal areas are beautifully decorated, and the furniture, including the sun loungers and outdoor seating, is very comfortable. There were always plenty of loungers available around the pool, and the pool itself is well maintained. We spent several enjoyable days relaxing there and visiting the beach which is only down the road. The buffet food included with half board was good, although on some evenings the selection felt a little limited. It would also have been nice to see a wider choice of fruit available for dessert. Breakfast, however, was excellent, with plenty of options including sweet and savoury dishes, cereals, juices, and coffee. The team were lovely, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Our room was perfect for our needs, and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here. We would happily recommend it."

Mirabel CityCenter Hotel

"Pro’s:- Great location on the main square. Friendly, helpful staff. Great plentiful breakfast. Modern facilities and good air con. Con’s:- Internal noise - the sound of doors closing vibrates around the whole hotel. This starts around 6am and goes on until up to 3am so we didn’t sleep great. The bathroom was very small and no door on the shower."

La Signora Hotel

"Well how do I start …..? Wow!!!. What a fantastic experience starting with our beautiful Angelic Xena on the front desk who welcomed us as though we were “Royal’s” spending time explaining everything to us and even gave us a hand written Anniversary letter. She couldn’t wait to teach us after us asking to teach us a Greek Phrase each day that we attempted to learn… μας φέρθηκαν σαν να ήμασταν οικογένεια Nico greeted us and with his calming charm made us very welcome and the bar staff headed by George were great … All of them including the house keeping ‘First Class’!!!’ Kefalonia we will be back and La Signora we hope to see you again real soon .."
