I'm a Wyndham platinum member. We were going to give this place another shot. We used to stay here on our business trips to Kent and Fife that we make two or three times annually. Also, the proximity to Showare center is nice, as we have traveled to watch WHL hockey games in years past. In fact, once upon a time they offered a discount rate for WHL fans. This place was going downhill then. It's much worse since COVID. I really should have not booked here after reading all of the recent reviews online. But, I was a sucker for a cheap room. And we had some late night activities planned at Kent Station shopping complex. And one of our business stops is nearby. So, when I saw a really affordable rate on the king jacuzzi suite, I booked it. Like over a month out. We've stayed in one of those before. Surely we can do this. It's just a bed, right? Ughhhh! I feared this would be a mistake. I swore we'd never stay there again. I guess was held to that oath. I arrive just after 4PM and after a brief wait I find that they had us a twin double room. The room I booked was not available. I said I don't care about the Jacuzzi tub, just having a King bed. Which she tried to charge more for. I showed her my booking confirmation and rate, she reluctantly agreed to honoring that rate. But in the future I need to call to confirm the room. I've always booked my rooms online through the Wyndham website or app. I've never had this happen anywhere before. At a bit more expense I pulled up the app and booked a night at the La Quinta that we usually stay at in the Fife and Tacoma area. I will never stay at that Ramada again, even if it was free. Just read the Google reviews about how run down it is and the shady neighborhood. We probably just got saved from having our car broken into overnight. Look at the recent posted photos on the Google reviews as well. Yes, it's that bad. Also, the restaurant next door is closed permanently. Windows boarded up. Just not a good sign at all. Nearly all of our personal and business trips result in us staying at Wyndham hotels. This location is a dark stain on the name of Ramada and Wyndham. In contrast, I walk through the door at La Quinta here in Fife/Tacoma and they are super friendly. I mention that I just booked the room and we had a bad experience at another location and came here. About 30 minutes after getting into our room I got a call from the front desk asking if everything is OK. Wow. I have a review posted on that hotel, and I'm going to update it.

The staff isn't very friendly, the area is not very safe and the room was dirty. We found old pistachios under the ottoman in our room. The man that checked us in seemed irritated that we arrived and interrupted him. He wasn't welcoming and didn't greet us or smile once. We had to be the ones to say hello when we walked in. I don't recommend this hotel. They could do much better. There also seemed to be some generator or something running all night long both nights we stayed so, it was very loud in the room. We didn't sleep well at all.

This hotel is a great one. The rooms are always clean, well stocked with linens, towels and best of all, they have kitchen utensils and dining ware that helps with cooking. The location is excellent with shopping very nearby, a 7-11, Starbucks and some restaurants within a 5 minute walk from your room. The staff are always nice and friendly and they have guest laundry available. There is a 7 dollar a night parking fee but that is helping to keep the parking lot safe and in all honesty, it could be a lot higher. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I will say this though, check third party booking sites before booking directly as you may be able to get a better deal.

Perfect location for our trip! We visited Buckley, Tacoma and Seattle during our trip and this hotel was no more than 20-30 minutes at the longest to any location we traveled to. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We had absolutely no complaints. Their Covid precautions were appropriate and did not negatively affect the experience. They required reservations to use the pool but we were able to use the pool easily at the times we wanted to. The free breakfast was GREAT! The breakfast attendant filled to-go containers with either scrambled eggs or pre-made omelettes, and sausage or bacon or both and a biscuit, they also had available coffee, a selection of juices, milk, yogurt and muffins. It was plentiful, convenient, and satisfying. Considering most other hotels in the area either completely forgoed their free breakfast or only offered continental breakfast with no hot options this was excellent. We will absolutely return!

Quiet and beautiful people

So let's start with saying I stayed at this hotel recently, think a couple of days ago, with my family so we could attend a funeral. I selected a hotel near the airport for ease of access knowing that we all came from three different places, using two different airlines and one person driving. Our troubles started upon arrival. Despite having one member's air travel being delayed by an hour, we still arrived long before the 4pm check-in time and was promptly told the room was not ready and we could call later to find out when it is ready. There is something... odd going on with their phone. At times the call would not connect, like it did when we were at the airport when I tried to call, and other times it will go through. This happened throughout the entire stay, so I simply asked if they had an approximate time when they think it might be ready. She snapped at me that check-in is 4pm, as if I hadn't heard her before. Years ago, I did housekeeping for a summer. I know there is a list, and where we are on the list might suggest if we are going to be closer to 4pm or a little earlier. We left with our bags, despite them offering to hold them for us, because no trust had been established here. I called twice later, the first time the call would not connect, the second time our rooms were ready at 2pm. We were not given the Preimum WiFi password at check in. We were not given pool information at check-in. Really the only information we were given at all was about having a menu in the room for the breakfast service which is not... true. We all heard it, and not only was it not there, another staff member seemed confused why we were asking for it. This brings us to the other problems. This hotel advertises services and amenities they literally do not have. The Basil restaurant is not operational and is described as permanently closed by staff. There is no onsite restaurant. This meant, for us, that people on different meal schedules were now needing to eat together because the convenience of onsite preparation is simply not there. The first night, I noticed there is no HBO. They advertise on their website, but I assure you there is no HBO. It's not listed in the guide and there is no amount of channel surfing that will find what is not there. They do have StarzEncore but mostly it's an On Demand service that charges 19.99 for movies that are currently streaming on subscriptions services. These are not even in theater movies. The TV on-screen guide will suggest you can cast to the TV. This is not true. Embassy Suites has disabled this feature. The app is certainly capable of this feature, but the way they have it set-up is to use your phone as a glorified remote. It can not cast to the TV. We paid for a premium suit as well. 3 adults in a room that is advertised to hold 6. Stayed here recently and liked my stay very much. Due to Covid the hotel restaurant was not open which was disappointing but understandable. I stayed in a spa suite room at a very fair rate. The spa suite is a nice room and allows for a good soak with bubbles to relax. Good Internet, desk for work. Property felt safe , good parking in a well lit lot. Property is near tons of eateries and shopping. Super easy access to I-5 to both Tacoma and Seattle. Staff were efficient and accommodating. I would easily stay here again.

We stayed two nights and were super pleased with the friendly staff, the modern rooms with comfy beds and clean all around. The breakfast was nice and a great start to the day. Their airport shuttle dropped us off at the airport for the short walk to the light rail to ride into the city for a day of exploring. He told us where to meet back up at days end and voila, he was there to take us back to the motel. Couldn't have been better, it was perfect. This Inn was recommended by previous stay couple and it was spot on. Highly recommend as well.

Outside the hotel is Lake Washington, while Boeing is next to the park, the environment is super good, the restaurant has a Chinese chef, very warm, when he goes to work, he will take the initiative to give us porridge, the restaurant's steak is also great! Very warm hotel, I have stayed at three hotels in Seattle, and my daughter said that this hotel is the most comfortable!
