Great location in walking distance to the Plaka and the Acropolis. The roof top terrace is sensational with spectacular views across Athens and to the Acropolis & worth staying just for this experience. Dinner and breakfast are both served on the terrace & the food is very good. The hotel looks smart but showing some wrinkles around the edges. My room was quite large with a good sized outside terrace. But the room has a great shortage of power points for plugging in devices and I had to use the bedside lamp plug. The bed is two twins which I don’t like & the bath / shower had nowhere to hang the shower hose & the bath was very narrow. The wifi is very slow. There are a few English channels on the TV. The hotel is very popular with tour groups & so gets quite crowded, busy and noisy. But a pleasant stay, conveniently located with the terrace restaurant view the outstanding feature.

This hotel is not big, but the location is good, just 2 or 3 minutes walk to the entrance to the Acropolis. The hygiene in the room is very good. I ordered it earlier and it tastes good! This is the most satisfying hotel for this trip.

The service was great 👍 The reception staff were all very friendly, cooperative and service-oriented. Unfortunately, the swimming pool and Spa were not in use due to renovations. We knew that about the Spa, but the indoor pool would be open. That was a disappointment for us, we had chosen the hotel specifically for this. But the solution offered (free use of taxi or bicycle) made up for 95% of this. We had a very nice meal, it was a bit of a shame that we were the only guests.

Well, well, well, what can i write or say about this gem. The Electra Palace Hotel, located bang in the middle of downtown Athens is absolutely superb. Everything the city has to offer is within walking distance from the hotel. The view of the Acropolis from our room is spectacular, not to mention the to ”die-for” view from the 8th floor restaurant - you can ”touch” the Acropolis from here!😄 The breakfast at the Electra Palace is top notch and is delicious. The service at the hotel is top notch, and one of the best I have ever experienced in over 30 years of travelling. The staff, from the concierge to the receptionists, and restaurant staff, all provided extremely high professional services. I will single out George, the receptionist, who made us feel extremely welcome with one of the biggest smiles and professional services I have ever experienced. George has a saying each time we interacted with him, and it was ”each time you smile, good things will always come your way.” This saying came through when George found my brand new Samsung Ear Bud after I lost it and the hotel began a whole day of searching inside the hotel and outside at the restaurants we visited. Thank you, George, you're the best. Also, Dimitris, who helped us with our luggages was fantastic. All in all, Electra Palace Hotel is a superb hotel, and we will definitely go back there.

The location is not very good. It takes five minutes to reach Constitution Square and 20 minutes to the Acropolis. It is within walking distance from Plaka. Next to it is the Women's Street, where there are various restaurants and supermarkets. The attitude of the waiter is very good, the room is okay, the family room is two completely independent rooms, and the public area at the door is also enclosed as a connection (suitable for luggage), which is very suitable for older children or elderly people of the same shape, without interfering with each other . The only thing is that the power of the hair dryer is too small and the breakfast is basically not changed.

Booked two rooms for a three day stay and both rooms were comfortable and quiet. The bathroom in my room was smaller than my daughters but for me it was fine. Small bath but I managed to use it. The staff are great and breakfast was a good start to the day ahead. Nice coffee. Our flight back to the uk was cancelled due to air traffic control going on strike and the hotel let us stay another night without any fuss even letting us stay in the same rooms. All in all I have no regrets booking this hotel and for the price it’s a great choice. Reception booked our taxi to the airport and it was a fixed price of 40 euros.

We returned to this hotel for a second visit because it is so nice. Rooms are modern and comfortable. The view is unsurpassed: you have the Acropolis on one side and the Temple of Olympian Zeus on the other. The location is perfect for sightseeing. It is a five-minute walk to the Acropolis Museum. Lower floor, street side rooms can be a little noisy, so you might consider some ear plugs or asking for a room on a high floor. Breakfast is amazing! There are hot foods and cold foods and lots of pastries, all quite good. I especially enjoyed the Greek items: spanakopita, tiropita, dolmas. The elevators are tiny and can be bottlenecks at times.

We are two big and one small, the children live in the living room, the living room is very big. The layout is reasonable. Free breakfast is at the coffee bar downstairs, bread, cake, milk, juice, cereal, etc. There is a public computer on the first floor, which can print boarding passes for free, and comes with a chargeable shared laundry room and a luggage storage office for foreign business. There is a standard room in the optional room type, which can accommodate two people, which is a relatively cost-effective accommodation. Disadvantages: A few hundred meters away from the Acropolis subway entrance than the original site. There is no curtain; the bathroom is in the room. I don't like this the least. People in a room can't open it. The stove is also in the room. Fortunately, there are kitchen utensils, knives and forks, which can cook things. Without oil, salt, sauce and vinegar, cooking can't work. The most complaint is to insert the card to get electricity. This youth hostel should be a remodeled hotel to have the operation of inserting a card to get electricity. If it is a single room/standard room, it is no problem to insert the card to get electricity, and you will live by yourself. But in a multi-person dormitory room, inserting a card to get electricity is a bit of a pull. You insert your room card in the electricity-taking slot, and someone else goes out and takes your card away intentionally or unintentionally. You don't know who did it. One night, my card was inserted in the room, and when two people left the shop early the next morning, my card was taken away, speechless.

In January, my husband and I booked a room for September 2023 for two nights. We made the reservation online using our American Express, the account we have used in the past for European travel. One week prior to our reservation, we received an email informing us our reservation was canceled. No further explanation. First, we contacted AMEX; they did not place a hold on our card or intervened in any way with this reservation. We called the hotel twice and were told to reserve again. The dates are no longer available so that wasn't even an option for them. They claim they did not initiate the cancelation. Three emails later and we have no answers and no reservation. Traveling from the US, this is beyond frustrating. It looks like a nice hotel and the location looks appealing as well. Be careful, though, and have a back up somewhere else.
