Hotele w: Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Ce, Kunming

Here's my review: **1. Breakfast: 7/10.** Definitely better than Atour or Hualuxe, but the Western selection isn't what you'd typically find in a luxury hotel. They had some pre-sliced ham that was decent. There was also an à la carte menu on the table with items like salmon and eggs, which suggests the owner initially aimed for a super high-end offering, but you get what you pay for. **2. Hardware: 7.5/10.** The public areas are pretty good; for a 5-diamond hotel, it's decent. It doesn't quite reach 5-star luxury standards, though. Many areas use a dark green, faux-marble material that looks quite textured. This faux-stone texture is similar to what you'd find at the Wyndham Grand Yichang, InterContinental Xiangyang, and Conrad Chongqing, but the details aren't as refined. The mattress is quite supportive, not soft, which I really like – similar to JW Marriott and Wanda hotels. The linens are decent. The mini-bar was empty, and they use Yibao bottled water. The slippers have thick soles and are very good; I asked for two pairs when I left. **3. Service:** First, a shout-out to the service. The hotel gave me complimentary souvenirs upon check-in and check-out without asking for a good review. The service during breakfast, item delivery, and changing rooms for a late-night check-in was all very good. The most basic room type has a projector, so if that's an issue for you, book a room above the base category. Now for the downsides. Firstly, the soundproofing is average, which is a common issue with most non-luxury hotels. Thankfully, the location isn't super busy, so I slept well at night. The location is okay; it's not far from Kunming Station, and there's an internet café about 100 meters away. Oh, and the headboard decoration in the guest rooms resembles a certain hotel in Shenzhen, which is quite nice. The hotel's swimming pool and the third-floor terrace garden are relatively ordinary, not as impressive as the lobby. Overall, I'd still recommend it for those who aren't too picky about their accommodation, especially since it's affordable.

Both of us are extremely satisfied staying Im this hotel. The resapan for giving the hotel 10/10 are: - Efficient customer service, the senior lady as well as the younger staff at the counter are very alert and responsive. I would say the young senior staff with short hair is a gem to the hotel management team. She's kind, caring and hospitable. - The Hotel is strategically located near to the Kunming Railway Station as well as to FuDe Subway station. Moving around in Kunming city is so convenient. - Just next to the hotel is the Shuangqiao Night Market. It's the largest night market in Kunming. We enjoyed the variety of food served in the market. - Although the night market operates till 3am, the rooms remain quiet and peaceful to sleep in because the Hotel has double layered glass windows to block out the noise from outside . - The breakfast I served is also delicious : local noodles and wantons served in three types of soup - plain chicken broth, sour and spicy or Mala taste. Hilton Garden Inn Kunming🏨 A newly-emerged Instagrammable spot with Southeast Asian vibes! This time in Kunming, I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Kunming South, near Kunming Railway Station. It's right in the heart of Kunming, like the city's gently beating pulse. With buildings rising and falling, and traffic flowing back and forth, you can truly feel the modern vibrancy of Kunming here. It's about a 10-minute walk from Wujiaba Metro Station, and not far from Cuihu Lake or Nanping Street, making it convenient for dining, accommodation, and transportation. The breakfast offers a healthy and comfortable mix of meats and vegetables, along with local specialties like Erkuai, roasted milk tea, and freshly cooked noodle soup. The room facilities are also quite modern and connected. It's comfortable whether you're binge-watching shows in bed or lounging on the sofa. The body lotion has a very sophisticated scent, which is instantly relaxing. High-floor rooms offer great views, perfect for a leisurely tea or reading session. The hotel has a gym and a self-service laundry room, so your clothes can always stay clean and fresh. Plus, the panoramic night view of Kunming from the 52nd floor is absolutely stunning and very relaxing!

Our family of three was booked into the hotel's family room for 2 nights & the room was well appointed with all expected amenities & was very clean. The surrounding areas was convenient with lots of food options. There's an array of snacks & drink options available at the lobby area & is a welcomed respite from the cold weather outside. The breakfast spread was extensive & contains both east / west bites. Recommended for families travelling to & from this beautiful city.

Service: The landlady was excellent! She'd tell us all the good places to eat and where to visit. She was always happy to answer any questions we had. Facilities: The room had a smart toilet, a washing machine, and even heating in the bathroom. The bed and duvet were very comfortable. Environment: It's a self-built house in Shuangqiao Village, very close to Shuangqiao Night Market. It's about a 10-minute taxi ride from the South Railway Station (don't go to the North Station, it's far and gets congested). It's also quite convenient to take the subway or bus to visit attractions in the city, though you'll need to walk about 1 km. Overall, it offers great value for money.

Location of the hotel is convenient as it is just 10 minutes away from Kunming train station! The buffet breakfast spread is also extensive and tasty! Staffs are friendly and the hotel is clean, everyday we come back with a bowl of sweet dessert from the hotel

Great hotel only 2km from the main Kunming train station. As a family we loved it! So clean and probably the best Atour hotel I have stayed in in China. Very high quality for a 4 star hotel - almost bordering on 5 star level! This hotel gets consistent 9.7 out of 10 reviews and that is pretty high. But with their great hospitality and clean, modern interior I can really see why and they deserve such high ratings. When we checked in there were so many extra touches of hospitality: locally brewed tea, hand lotion, extra slippers for our kids. The front desk ladies were nice. Breakfast is mostly Chinese style but is really high quality and professional as far as ingredients. Their noodle soup was excellent and breakfast was quite diverse. They have a laundry room and lots of convenience stores close by. If you are coming through Kunming train station I give this one a big recommend. Might be way better than some of the shady hotels a few hundred meters from the train station.

We had a great stay at this hotel in Kunming! The staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to accommodate all our requests — really made us feel welcome. The breakfast was super tasty, with a nice variety, and the rooms were spotless. Everything worked smoothly, especially the laundry service, which was super convenient. Definitely recommend!
