This hotel is our family’s preferred destination when travelling in this area. The service is always exceptional, rooms are clean and the kids absolutely love the atrium. Breakfast at the restaurant is fabulous for the price. Service is friendly and food is fast and tasty. The location is close to activities and all the amenities you need. Highly recommended.

Upon arriving to check in we were told our room wasn’t ready as the previous guest checked out and stole the tv. Yes, stole the hotel tv. That made us second guess our stay but we thought the hotel can’t tell wether a guest is a good or bad guest. We decided to go have dinner and then come back, giving them time to install the new tv. The room was a “jacuzzi room” , but it for sure had seen better days. It did not smell so that was a bonus. *first the wooden coat rack with steel hooks was so broken that the second I put my coat on it it tilted 90 degrees almost slamming into my face. My hubby took a video of it to show the front desk. *the jacuzzi tub had hair in it, we informed front desk and they came and picked hair out, I myself sprayed down the tub with sanitizer and wiped it after that as it must not of been cleaned from previous tenant * the lights flickered on and off when turned on * you were left on your own how to figure out the heat. * the tv the my just put in there went back and forth between snowy screen and regular tv, upon Investigation the cable in the back had no proper end and was just a loose wire set into the cable hole * the bedding had a hole and some stains and very uncomfortable. The staff was the saving the grace they were pleasant and nice. Will not be staying there again, one too many issues and for 119.99 for the night not worth it all.

We chose this hotel based on reviews and availability. When we walked up and saw a rainbow business sign on the door, we thought we had chosen wisely. Unfortunately the staff person proceeded to assume that I was a man, and then that my wife must be my mother, clearly lacking any awareness of lgbt people in her worldview, which soured our check in experience. Once in our room (216) the fridge was so noisy we unplugged it and the shower handle was broken. Having come in from hiking and wanting to shower to check for ticks before we relaxed in the room, the fact that it took more than half an hour for the person to come and see the problem was frustrating. Once we were switched to another room, our stay was fine. The fridge in our second room (205) was quieter and the shower worked fine. Had we been offered any compensation for the inconvenience, we might have rated this higher. Without anything more than an I’m sorry, the most generous rating I can give this hotel is an average. We also found it a bit weird that the pamphlet display cases contained information about attractions in places like Ottawa and Virginia, rather than any local tourism options someone staying there might want to know about. The highlight of this hotel was that it was clean. For these reasons, I wouldn’t recommend or not recommend this hotel to others. However, if a friend was thinking of staying there, I would definitely tell them about our experience so they could decide for themselves if they wanted to stay here or not.

I would suggest moving the toilet paper holder from the lower side of my leg and rising it higher so when I have to use the restroom as a bigger woman, it's not jamming in my leg or I have to hurt my back trying to ”finish” using the restroom.
