Nonna Jole

This place is a dump. None of the rooms resemble the photos. I don't know what these others are thinking that posted good reviews. I checked in with the very odd attendant in a basement room full of mold, went to my room and gave him back the keys and left. Cheap furniture falling apart, AC did not work etc. I did not even stay one night here.

Pros - Large room in Lecce which was great, face washers, plenty of towels and slippers which was nice. Rooms were cleaned & serviced everyday. Host was quick to respond on WhatsApp if I needed a question. Cons- I have severe food allergies and booked this apartment so I had a kitchen with an oven / hot plate to cook my meals. I spent €100 at the supermarket when I arrived and came to cook my food and the kitchen was not working. Was advised they oven was not working (no mention of this at check in or when I had booked) but the host fixed the hot plates. Wasted over €50 of food that could only be used in an oven. Stayed for 4 nights and was not fixed in that whole time which was very disappointing when they knew I had food for the oven. Please ensure guests are aware kitchen facilities do not work when they book a room with a kitchen. The room was incredibly noisy every night until 3am (week days the same as weekends) we slept with earplugs and could still hear the noise from the bar / restaurant next door.

The B&B was very close to the center of Lecce. However, there was no parking; parking was available a couple of streets away at reasonable cost. B&B is an old building that has been well renovated, but also on a busy street (some noise concerns). The room was fine, but the bathroom is severely restricted--barely one-arm length from wall to wall. Breakfast not available on site; but vouchers for a cafe on main piazza a few blocks away. Helpful owner/manager, but limited hours. All-in-all, a reasonable choice for a single person or a young couple.

The unit was very large, clean and modern yet inside of the most beautiful historic building and courtyard. It was centrally located so that we could walk to all of the sights and restaurants in Lecce.

Great stay at Nonna Jole. In the heart of Lecce. Nice and clean room, breakfast is within distance. Friendly host. You can park your car within walking distance if needed. Great place to start your adventure in Lecce

Location was great, middle of old town and 5 mins walk from railway station. The rooms were located up a scary, very steep stairs. Beware when going down with a heavy suitcase !! Rooms were great, bathroom a narrow corridor. Odd shape ! There was a disco/bar next door which "entertained" us till 2 at night with nonstop bam-bam-bam "music". I understand it was Friday so I can´t tell how it is mid-week. Breakfast was in a tiny cafe on the way to the railwaystation. You will be better off chosing a "proper" cafe for your morning meal.

The B&B is centrally located in the historic centre of Lecce and all sights are close by. At the same time it is beautifully quiet at night. Everything is super clean and the host is very welcoming and helpful. Really recommendable!
