Boutique - Hotel Adara

We visited the small but beautiful Hotel Adara in Lindau again. We had a Suite which was very nice. They conserved the old style of the house but renovated everything to a modern standard. We had other rooms, all were nice but this one was bigger. The staff was friendly and efficient, the room clean. We will come back.

A hotel on the Island with parking facilities in a public parking close by. What a nice, old atmosphere! We loved the room and especially the very good breakfast. Professional receptionist and warm welcome! Recommended!

The Hotel ist located in a very old building. The unique rooms include many historic details like walls, wood, floors, windows. However renovated this building did it very carefully and with respect of the past. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean, everything is working and properly maintained. Truly an amazing place to spend some time in Lindau.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and really like the location in the quieter end of town and the rooms are comfortable, clean and full of character. Reception staff are very friendly. The hotel has a nice warm welcome feel to it. I didn’t give it a 5 as I feel the breakfast set up let’s it down. We stayed for 4 nights and each morning breakfast felt chaotic - the breakfast servery area is too tiny to accommodate a proper buffet breakfast. Bowls of fruit/muesli and even milk etc are all displayed in tiny bowls/containers so keep running out and staff can’t keep up with demand. Staff are running round trying to top up food and clear empty plates and don’t focus on proactively offering things eg extra coffee, eggs etc so you’re constantly having to ask. I just feel this could be managed a lot better now n a different way. On our last day we were trying to head off early but despite being laid up for breakfast at 0740 the lady we spoke to refused to let us in until 0800. It felt inflexible and rude.,

We stayed 3 nights during our family trip. We had two units: room 1 in the main hotel; and then also the Adara am See which is a separate apartment about 100m walk away in a separate building. Adara am See overlooks the lake on the top level of an apartment, itself a split level with a loft. All the furnishing and tiling everything are top grade. You can feel the luxury oozing from the apartment units. Tastefully decorated. Room 1 is on first storey of the main hotel and overlooks the fountain of Alter Schulplatz. Likes how the designer reconstructed the whole hotel with the ancient beams all preserved to add to the feel of the hotel cosiness. Apparently they spent 6 years re-building the structure. Service is commendable. All the staff made every effort to ensure our comfort level all met.

I am not kidding when I say , this is without doubt one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in ! Firstly the website has a wonderful 3D section so you can really get a good impression of the hotel. There are also direction videos to local parking and to the hotel;. The hotel itself is so well decorated and really in a class of its own, it feels so very special and is really clean. The Bathroom wow underfloor heating what a treat that was. They have a special lighting and electric system working from your key, the best advice was that you cannot break anything , so without worry you can try everything out and understand the system very quickly. The bed so comfortable, I wish we could have taken it with us ! TV very high quality with a lot of extras. Plus IPad in room so you can check out , google, You tube the hotel or anything really . Plus you can get more info about the hotel. In addtion Bath robes are provided, along with fantastic tolietries and a great Mini bar which is part of the price. The reception Staff were very friendly and helpful. . Breakfast was outstanding. A great selection, of meats, cheese and eggs. Plus so many other treats available. Staff were really lovely and so helpful. Parking near by is more expensive , but if you wish you can just drop bags off and then go to the much cheaper Car park which is around 15 mins away by foot. All of the information about parking is given to you before you arrive. Without doubt we will be visiting again. Really good value for money .

Excellence hotel. Amazing room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Very kind personnel. Located in the best area of Lindau, not far from railway station. After de 6 pm no personnel in reception but the sistem to enter into the hotel is easy.

We had some friends stay here back in 2019 while we stayed at another place and decided to stay here is December. We convenient for dropping off luggage and the main parking garage outside the walls is maybe five minutes away walking. Since Lindau is a small island, all the hotels are nicely located for walking around but the fact that you don't have to drag your luggage around is nice. Staff was friendly. Room was quiet. Breakfast was good but not great. Could have used some eggs maybe or more different meats. Room was clean and the shower was very nice. I didn't really like the way you turn on/off lights and control the sky-light through the all-in-one system on the wall. The receptionist explained it but unless she's actually showing it to you, it's not all that easy because there aren't any words just symbols and I'm not sure who made the symbols but they don't really match what they control. Could never get the sky-light window to open once I closed it. Nothing I did made it work. There are stairs. There is an elevator but for the last floor you still have to use stairs. The room had lots of hanging things and sticking out things that would be easy to run into in the dark.

Adara is located in a renovated, very old building on the island and is steps from everything. Staying were my son & my wife and I. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is in a municipal garage about 100+m away, and driving access to the hotel very simple. The rooms have nice amenities and the breakfast is good for a German hotel. Because of the age of the building the ceilings are short! My son was in Room 2 which was spacious with a king bed. My wife & I had Room 4, which is divided into several smaller chambers. I’m 6’1” and my head almost touched the ceiling, and I had to duck to get from chamber to chamber due to beams between the rooms. But the overall sense is very pleasant and the stay was enjoyable. An excellent choice for exploring Lindau, which has lots to offer.
