"This is a newish, small family-run hotel right at the entrance to historic Lindau island. It is on the tip of the island of Lindau, closest to land. In a nice and quiet area of town. Great location. The building is an old historic part of the Old Town, although the hotel is much newer. That is why the building has more charm than the rooms do I suppose. There is no lift, just stairs, and only 3 rooms I think per floor. Our room was Ikea-plain and functional. Nothing fancy and not a lot of character on the inside. We had a window with a view over the park and parking lot on the 'mainland.' The shower was just a small stall with slow hot water and a fast floor. They have no parking on-site, but there is a public (pay) lot just across the bridge from the hotel, and about 2 blocks' walk. Note that a 'hotel garni', is not just a hotel. It means a smaller, less expensive and more casual place of lodging. It also means that it has rooms and no on-site reastaurant. They do have a little living room abutting the front desk with a couple of tables where they serve a modest continental breakfast, which is extra from the base room rate. It's a nice little hotel room, I'll say. I enjoyed it for a one night stay, although I'm not sure I'd do a much longer stay."

"Ideal location on the harbor waterfront, can’t be more centrally located. Made for a gorgeous view for breakfast, which has a vast variety to satisfy every European or North American palette. The gym is well equipped and the view while working out over the rooftop gardens of Lindau is special. Weather was too hot to experience the rooftop saunas and hot tubs, which look fabulous. Will definitely return."
