Campingpark Gitzenweiler Hof Lindau

This campsite is fantastic. Arrived at a busy time, but reception staff friendly and helpful. Stayed in a pitch on the upper promenade close to amenity block. Loads for families with younger ones to do, but with great walks and places to visit nearby for those with older kids. Although the camp feels overcrowded by UK standards with units close to each other, somehow it never feels overly busy and the site was eerily quite after 9pm even in the height of summer. Location is great with the Austrian border only a short drive away and the town of Lindau is beautiful and accessible by bus from the campsite. Facilities were always spotlessly clean and onsite Italian restaurant was great too.

We stayed for two nights as a stop over on our way to Austria. The site is extremely large & busy with families mostly with young children. There is a mix of tents, motorhomes, lodges and seasonal pitches. They are all very close together and felt like you are on top on one another. The pitch was difficult to find as the numbers are not clearly marked. The site is spotlessly clean. Lovely clean showers with specific family rooms. There was the usual pilot wash, laundry (we did not use so can’t comment) and dog was area. There is a wooded area for strolls and great for walking the dog. The pool according to the kids was cold and too busy. There is an o site shop with bakery for fresh bread rolls and cakes. The site was not what we were expecting & not suitable for us and we would not return, mainly because it was huge and busy. We prefer smaller sites. I probably should have read the reviews first before booking.

It’s toooo crowded place!!!!! We had a tent, we were placed between others, there is no normal space between other tents…you have no private place around your tent. looong queue to get in to toilets or showers. Staff wasn’t polite, not recommended at all!

We have stayed here a couple of times with Eurocamp and the campsite is so lovely! It is surrounded by nature and right next to a small forest which is great to walk or cycle through. Very close to Lindau and Bregenz which were great days out. The reps were very friendly and helpful as were the reception staff. Would definitely recommend for couples and families and looking forward to returning!

Platz lag auf der von uns gewählten Strecke und hat sich für einen Zwischenstop angeboten. Gute Infrastruktur am Platz.

Leider werden die Toiletten vernachlässigt, sowie wäre es schön wenn man sein grosses Geschäft gemacht hat das Klo auch putzt!!!! Es hat wirkliche Schweine da. Zudem Hat es sehr viele Kinder. Der Platz ist sehr schön in der Nähe von Lindau.

Ein toller Campingplatz der keine Wünsche offen lässt . Der Campingplatz ist ein idealer und zentraler Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen an den nahe gelegenen Bodensee oder auch ins Allgäu. Die Anlage selber überzeugt durch Sauberkeit. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Absolut Empfehlenswert!

Hier gaan wij nooit meer heen! Iedereen met een tent wordt overal neergezet waar nog een stukje gras zichtbaar is. Iedereen staat zeer dicht op elkaar. Het toiletgebouw op het tentenveld heeft maar 3 heren en 3 dames wc's. Het andere super mooie toiletgebouw heeft veel te weinig douches, waardoor je altijd staat te wachten. Het personeel is onvriendelijk. Wij hadden een mini festival op het tentenveld. Er stonden meer dan 30 caravans rond elkaar met de hele dag muziek aan. Het was zo druk dat we scheerlijn aan scheerlijn stonden. Niks ontspannen aan. Mensen die hun hond uitlaten op het veld. Gewoon te ranzig.

Grosses Camping mit vielen Aktivitäten und auch einen Pool. Allerdings zu wenig Sanitätsanlage für diese Grösse. Es hat zu viel Leute, die Stellplätze sind zu klein. Zelte, Autos usw. sind alle aufeinander gehäuft. Wenig privat Sphäre.
