The Station Hotel

Comfortable stay, convenient location. Would recommend.

We booked the Station Hotel on a recommandation of a friend and we were not disappointed. Check-in and out were super easy. The rooms are spacious enough and are very charming. Everthing is clean and well organized. The breakfast is very good, the fact that downstairs of the hotel is a pub is just great. If you need your peace and quiet, no problem, and if you want to finish the day with a cold drink, no problem as well. 20-30 Minutes to the most common attractions by train and tube. The stop is just outside the door, so is a pharmacy and super markets. You cannot go wrong with this hotel.

Great location, 2 mins walk to Hither Green train station which enabled easy access to central London. Friendly staff, excellent housekeeping, fabulous shower, beautiful full English breakfast! It's a surprisingly quiet location; very little road traffic.

Great room and Breakfast. Our room was large and clean with a good shower/ bathroom. The eating area was very stylish and the breakfast was one of the best we have had in a long time at a hotel. Definitely recommend staying here with close travel links into London attractions.

The Station Hotel in Hither Green exceeded my expectations. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel's proximity to the train station is very convenient. I appreciated the decor's attention to detail and the pleasant a**osphere. It was a delightful stay that I would highly recommend.

Very clean. Lovely bed linen. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Kettle would t work was immediately replaced. Unfortunately no hot water on second morning boiler broken..so no shower before we left and did not have time to wait till it was repaired.

I always enjoy my visits to this hotel. Normally, I am able to request my favourite room, #5 on the first floor of two (no lift). On my most recent occasion, I was informed at check-in that there was a problem with the window blind, which is huge. The young man on reception was able to fix it, although there was still a bright external light which cast its beams onto the left side of the bed and pillow. The only quick solution was to lean the handle of my suitcase against the side of the blind to eliminate as much light as possible. Another guest had made a similar recent comment. Maybe a new rail and fixings wouldn't go amiss? Otherwise, the room was fully carpeted and extremely cosy, offering a comfortable double bed, TV, storage and hanging spaces, plenty of sockets, a well-stocked tea and coffee tray and no bright internal lights. There is also a fan with variable speeds. The shower room is quite small, but perfectly adequate, with a powerful shower, and offering high quality shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand and body lotion. Even the loo paper is not the usual thin offering! White, fluffy towels are in abundance, too. I would imagine no two rooms are the same. Even though the hotel is a five minute walk to the station, the trains do not disturb you. Also, the first floor is directly above the bar and eating areas, but there is no sound. So, thank you, Station Hotel. I'm sure I will return soon.

We have visited the Station Hotel several times (and in several rooms) as it is extremely convenient for our needs. The staff are very friendly and efficient and rooms comfortable but there are some *******. Lighting in the bathrooms is very poor and the mirror - for me at least - too far away. A separate shaving mirror would help. There are also no venetian blinds and/or curtains, just the one large material Roman blind which often does not totally cover the double windows. Hence, in our room on this trip, it was not possible to block out the street lighting outside which didn't go out until very early the next morning. In other rooms facing the flats opposite this also means you are quite exposed in the morning when raising the blind for light! I have mentioned this before but we left early the next day and the staff were not yet there to pass on the comments.

Had a lovely lunch here the food was gorgeous it’s such a lovely pub with a great a**osphere. The curry sauce that came with the fish and chips was amazing! Such a great location being so close to the station. Staff couldn’t do enough. Will definitely come again.
