Positives: Firstly the lobby and hotel was gorgeous! Reminded me of the Proper in Santa Monica. And LOVE LOVE the pampas and decors. The Mezzanine was super. They have free access to laundry! It’s located in Aldgate which is a great stay if you want to be walking distance to Shoreditch with amazing restaurants around. The tube station is a very short walk which was great. There are lots of construction around but the hotel is quiet which is great. I couldn’t hear others or sounds during my stay. Bed was super comfy and we slept well.
Cons: the corner suite room is good for maybe a stay of ONE. It was tiny! I guess everything in the city feels a bit cramped but the layout of the room made it that we had to pretty much jump onto the bed and then crawl or hop on the bed to get to the sofa… We had 3 suitcases so there was literally ZERO space for us to walk around in. The kitchen was non-functional. We tried to use it and it would not work and kept shutting off every 5 seconds. It never even boiled our water! The laundry that was free to use? The dryer didn’t work. So all our clothes were wet and we had to hang it up in our tiny room all over the place. And the shower wow. Yes it was beautiful and pressure of the rain shower was great but it flooded our floor into the bedroom. We had to call downstairs to have it drained which they did the next day. So we were walking around in a bit of puddle for a minute. But everything we asked for was answered for…. given enough time.
Overall, an ok stay just because the little annoyances that kept adding up mainly because of the inconvenience of the design of the room otherwise I think we would’ve enjoyed it more.
