"Heard and read some fantastic reviews about The Phillip Anne resort… here is ours. Positives: Friendly and helpful staff, fantastic comfortable pillows. Negatives: Rain in rooms and onto the beds of the family room. Showers are abysmal. Extremely poor water pressure, water not much more than a drip & stinks, heating works but is luke warm, other room is cold… towels are like sand paper, no small towels provided or available. Had better showers at Oodnadatta. Ants in all rooms and cockroaches in our family room, toilet blocked on arrival and doesn’t flush, limited toilet paper. WIFi provided all around the resort, however speed is similar to 90’s dialup speeds. Spent more time watching the spinning wheel of death on Netflix than anything else. They need to spend less money on spying security cameras and spend more on guest wifi. Beds are cheap and bedding is poor with only a sheet and thin quilt cover provided. Flies and mosquitoes in both rooms. Food menu looks good at first glance, but portion size is tiny, share plates are not enough to share, food was raw and undercooked… fresh orange juice is Tang. Please fix the toilet seats and secure them properly. We booked for 7 nights, but only stayed 1 before shifting elsewhere. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Cockroach and Ants Raining in the room on bed Water, no pressure, dirty and stinks"

"The room was beautiful, friendly helpful staff, nice pool and beautiful surroundings. Some areas for the hotel to consider if they market as 5 star…my partner and I were both sick after eating at the hotel on successive days…even after the final meal that we packed and took home…that’s not a coincidence and something for the hotel to examine in detail. Also, there is no wardrobe in the room we stayed in, on two occasions room service forget items for our meals and one day didn’t clean our room which I had to follow up with. It’s a great place, but the reasons above are why it doesn’t quite cut 5 stars…"

"Great hostel! The staff is really friendly and we felt right at home. Everything was very clean, and we especially enjoyed the freediving activity we booked through the hostel (it's just a short walk from the accommodation, and thanks to the instructor, we loved it!). Like any hostel, sleeping comfort depends on the noise level of other guests, and here the only slight issue was the owners' children, who made quite a bit of noise very early every morning (for example, watching videos at full volume while we were sleeping on the other side of the partition). We spoke with other travelers who had the same problem; it might be a cultural thing, but in any case, it didn't stop us from having a great stay! One last thing: don't hesitate to bring an eye mask because the hallway light is turned off very, very late, and it's practically daylight in the room when it's on."

"We had an AMAZING 3 days at Vivere Azure! The natural beauty of the hillside down to the pebbly, corral-strewn beach, and on to the clear, clean ocean was constantly breath-taking. My daughter and her husband spent 4 hours scuba diving, and their guide took great underwater shots of them with the sea flora and fauna. They even hung around with a turtle down there to top the experience. I spent most of my time joyfully taking care of my 8-month young granddaughter, and the only moment she cried was when I was putting her down for her nap as instructed by her dad as the parents were still on their dive. While the little one was napping in the company of her folk, I would carefully tread around the corrals and rocks for a 2-hour swim/floating meditation. Masks, snorkels and kayaks are part of the package, so I will go back to snorkeling again, as the variety of sea creatures are diverse, even in the shallow waters. The staff and crew were super friendly, courteous, accommodating and conversant. It’s no wonder that in such a hospitable environment, it was almost second-nature to strike up conversations with other vacationers! I love Vivere Azure, and am certain to be back as soon as I can. Thank you VA Team! "
