Overall I would say this is a 4 out of 5 stars. The only reason it lost a star was for the shower. It was absolutely awful, had zero water pressure and the shower head had pink mold growing growing on it from not being cleaned properly. The water pressure was so awful it took 15 seconds just to get my wash cloth wet. But there was always hot water and it was incredibly hot which was a nice thing so you didn’t have to wait forever for some lukewarm water. Breakfast was good, I wish they would have had some healthier options as well and maybe some more fruit. The only fruit offered was some shriveled up oranges. Other than those 2 things it was a good hotel with incredibly comfortable beds! And the room smelled good! I have never ever walked into a hotel and had the room actually smell nice. Usually they have somewhat of a musty smell no matter what, but not here. We have stayed at a couple others in Marshalltown before as we come here often and this is by far the best one to stay at, so we will be staying here again despite the water pressure.

Comfortable beds, decent size room (we had a 2 queen bed room), no funky smells in room, good location, friendly helpful staff. The bathroom has a fan, which is a plus in my book. Small Fitness room has a treadmill, a stationary bike, and cable type weight workout bench/machine. Did not use pool but looked fine. The usual continental breakfast offerings, with the hot offerings usually being biscuits & gravy, sausage links, and either undercooked hard boiled eggs or dried out scrambled eggs. Overall I would stay here again.

As soon as walking through the front doors I was greeted with a very pleasant clean smell, a beautiful foyer, and a happy attendant (whom later I would find out to be the manager). I checked in for a 3 night stay, got my key card and went to my room. I had a room with two queen beds that were super comfortable (I have back problems, but not with these!), 4 or 5 pillows (I lost count) per bed that are just clean and fluffy soft, tv, microwave, mini fridge, and a safe! The shower had a large sunflower sized head with good pressure! The climate control unit was very up to date and easy to use, and comfortable! Everything in the room was clean and nice looking and made for a very pleasant stay! They also have a heated pool in which I took the opportunity to swim in everyday which was nice and soothing. And last but not least the continental breakfast, which changes each day, had such things as omelets, sausage links, pancakes, french toast, juices, cereals, muffins, coffees, etc... One of thee best hotels I've ever stayed in!!!
