Matala is a lovely location, and this hostel offers great value, especially when booking on their website."

"I swore I'd never go back to that hotel. I tried again three years later, and the verdict is still the same: the hotel is still just as bad and doesn't deserve its three stars. The staff's welcome needs improvement. Never a smile, no hello, no goodbye, starting with the owner and his two sons, I presume. And what about the cleaning lady?! The breakfast room is fairly modern, but it's a real cacophony; you can't hear yourself think. The breakfast is of mediocre quality. Let's start with the artificial orange juice, which is undrinkable. The pastries are all mass-produced and of poor quality. The fromage blanc, which is supposed to be a local specialty, is of very poor quality. One morning, the grapes on the buffet were rotten. The room: the only positive point is that the bathrooms have been modernized and renovated. The bedding is atrocious! It's like a bowl, and you can feel the springs. The state of the walls is a disaster, with stains, cracks, and paint splatters everywhere. The toilet seat was broken, the fridge leaked and was incredibly noisy, the furniture was outdated and dated from the 70s, and the patio door was in a pitiful state. There's no air conditioning in the common areas; the worst is in the hallways leading to the rooms. The small table with the plastic flowers in front of the elevators should be replaced. Attached are photos to support my claims. Conclusion: Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!"

"We started on the wrong foot at Elea Terra, when the lady at the reception asked us to pay extra for the air conditioning that was included in our price. Apparently there is a problem with booking .com , where it simply doesn't say anywhere that air contidioning costs extra. But after the problem was solved we had a fantastic time there. The rooms are basic, but big enough and good enough. The pool area is fantastic, with real grass, and very calm. The buffet breakfast was excellent considering the price of the rooms. We stayed at more expensive places with much smaller buffets. And the location was perfect: walking distance to the beach, but distant enough so we didn't have to deal with the crowd and noise that goes with it. I highly recommend Elea Terra! It's great value for money."

"The 2* hotel is a few minutes from the beach and is perfect! I was there for 10 days at the end of May until 8th of June. My room was spotless, was cleaned every day by a very friendly young man and I got new sheets and towels every second day! The owners are so friendly and made me feel very welcome, their breakfast buffet and coffee was great. There were also some really tasty Greek delicacies in pastry and some Crêpes in Nutella! 😋 All in all I had a great stay and can highly recommend the Eva Marina!"

"ATTENTION, SCAM ! Don’t fall for the pictures and reviews as i did. If you‘re looking for a place with furniture of the 1960‘s and atmosphere of a bad horror movie of the 1980‘s, that‘s the place to be! The weird -and sometimes really scary- owner Olympios is ruling his place like a Maharadscha for now 33 years, selects who can stay at his hotel (his words), no internet in the rooms, no TV, the pool is closed before 8am and after 8pm (but is not inviting anyway, directly beside the street, no shade, basic sunbeds without pillows…). But the worst about this place is the lack of atmosphere and renovation. Gives you a permanent feeling of being closed in a place where you do not want to be, horrible. And it was almost empty when we were there which made it even more suspicious…I took some picture where you can see state of the bathrooms, the reception with a switchboard on the right that is so old that it is almost cool (but also a bit scary!)….my 2 teenage boys were so scared and disappointed when arriving at the place (as me) that we immediately looked for another one. We stayed one night instead of the 5 booked and Olympios refused to pay back the difference of the down payment referring to a special law in Greece. THINK 3 TIMES BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS PLACE AND VISIT IT BEFORE IF YOU CAN !"

"Umieszczona w cichych ogrodach na obrzeżach Matyldy, ten mały kompleks apartamentów jest idealny do pokojowego pobytu. Pokój jest ładnie wyposażony w modelowy pokój prysznicowy, telewizor i lodówkę. Jest mały balkon nad ogrodami. W pobliżu zakwaterowania mieliśmy możliwość parkowania samochodu wynajmu i spaceru do miasta w około 15 minut."
