"Matala jest wspaniałym małym miastem, w dalszym ciągu od tłumów lepszych znanych ośrodków w Krecie. Hotel Matala Bay jest witany, z przyjaznym pracownikiem. Hotel jest bardzo czysty i pokój jest wydajny. Jest to 3-gwiazdkowy hotel, ale niedawno został zamodernizowany. Mieliśmy problem z złamaną głową prysznicową, która natychmiast zmieniła się w bardziej nowoczesny. Śniadanie było pyszne, tak wiele wyboru. Wybory jaj są smażone lub gotowane, a czasami niektóre zmarszczki. Wiele wyborów chleba, zboża, zimne mięso, sery i ciastka. Hotel ma wspaniałą kolekcję kotów i kotów, które pozyskują wiele zabiegów od klientów i są świetnym źródłem zabawy dla dzieci (i dużych dzieci, 😀) Powierzchnia basenu i ogrody są dobrze utrzymane i bardzo relaksujące. Jest winda, poproś o pokój na górze. Jeśli masz szczęście, aby uzyskać pokój widok na morze, zostaniesz zepsuty z oddychającymi zachodnimi słońcami. Plaża jest krótki spacer. Cały obszar jest przyjazny, bezpieczny i bardzo czysty. Nie ma wszędzie śmieci, jak niektóre kurorty. Z pewnością wrócimy i bardzo polecamy ten hotel."

"I stayed at this hostel for one night during a music festival, and I had a really positive experience. The room was clean, the staff were very polite and helpful, and they even provided me with an extra blanket when I asked. The location is excellent—right next to the bus stop, just a 5–7 minute walk to the beach, and close to the city center. The room had a proper renovation, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and I slept comfortably. Overall, I enjoyed my stay"

"The 2* hotel is a few minutes from the beach and is perfect! I was there for 10 days at the end of May until 8th of June. My room was spotless, was cleaned every day by a very friendly young man and I got new sheets and towels every second day! The owners are so friendly and made me feel very welcome, their breakfast buffet and coffee was great. There were also some really tasty Greek delicacies in pastry and some Crêpes in Nutella! 😋 All in all I had a great stay and can highly recommend the Eva Marina!"

"ATTENTION, SCAM ! Don’t fall for the pictures and reviews as i did. If you‘re looking for a place with furniture of the 1960‘s and atmosphere of a bad horror movie of the 1980‘s, that‘s the place to be! The weird -and sometimes really scary- owner Olympios is ruling his place like a Maharadscha for now 33 years, selects who can stay at his hotel (his words), no internet in the rooms, no TV, the pool is closed before 8am and after 8pm (but is not inviting anyway, directly beside the street, no shade, basic sunbeds without pillows…). But the worst about this place is the lack of atmosphere and renovation. Gives you a permanent feeling of being closed in a place where you do not want to be, horrible. And it was almost empty when we were there which made it even more suspicious…I took some picture where you can see state of the bathrooms, the reception with a switchboard on the right that is so old that it is almost cool (but also a bit scary!)….my 2 teenage boys were so scared and disappointed when arriving at the place (as me) that we immediately looked for another one. We stayed one night instead of the 5 booked and Olympios refused to pay back the difference of the down payment referring to a special law in Greece. THINK 3 TIMES BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS PLACE AND VISIT IT BEFORE IF YOU CAN !"
