"Doskonale przestronny pokój i był bardzo czysty (oczyścili oni codziennie). Pokój miał doskonały widok na słynne wodospady. Można spacerować do wszystkich 3 atrakcji turystycznych. Przyjazny recepcja to wszystko. Tylko śniadanie można poprawić - ale znalazłem, że brak we wszystkich szwajcarskich hotelach podczas tej wizyty ;) "

"Our stay at the Parkhotel Du Sauvage was excellent. We received a warm welcome. The room was tidy, and it was cleaned frequently throughout our stay. There were many choices at breakfast. Thankfully, we were able to get our coffee from a fully automatic coffee machine (many hotels usually serve instant or filter coffee). The bread and croissants were always fresh. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I don't understand why we paid so little for such great service; in my opinion, it could have been better. We highly recommend it!"

Hotel Dakota ★★★★

"After a hike, we spontaneously booked a room at the Dakota. The hotel is ideally located within a three-minute walk of Meiringen train station. Check-in was very quick and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The superior double room we booked was comfortable and the furnishings were well coordinated. The coffee machine didn't work and the kettle's cable is far too short, so you really have to try a few things to get it to work. Hopefully this is better solved in the other rooms! The box spring bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. The sanitary area was rather small but everything you need was there. Unfortunately, the radiator for drying the bath and hand towels didn't work. The Hotel Dakota was renovated in 2020. Now that everything is still fairly "new", you can't see it yet...but defects are already becoming visible here and there, which is a real shame. Examples: the radiators mentioned, then the skirting boards, the water damage to the bathroom doors, which seem to be caused by the poorly thought-out shower trays in the small bathroom. There are a few more details... The breakfast buffet was OK. However, the selection was rather poor for a four-star hotel. We thought the option of freshly squeezed orange juice was very good! We found the staff at the Hotel Dakota very nice. We only had good experiences in the breakfast area and at reception. Once again we thought, what would the Swiss hotel industry do without foreign staff. Conclusion: A beautiful hotel, in a good but quiet location, comfortable rooms, very nice staff. For us, that outweighs the few points of criticism mentioned. We would stay here again and can recommend the Hotel Dakota!"
