Hotele w Monte Gordo

Second time I’ve visited this hotel. It was clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Location is excellent with the beach a 10 min walk and the square a 5 min walk. There is also a spar 2 minutes away and lots of restaurants near by. On both occasions my room was spotless and there was a safe, free of charge which i thought was really good. The pool area was small but there were ample beds available due to the time of year. Sometimes I even had it to myself. Also very clean. Breakfast was simple but nice. A variety of cereals, breads, cheeses, meats and fruit. Then a small selection of hot food. (Eggs, beans and sausages). It’s definitely my go to hotel when I’m in Monte Gordo.

Stayed here for 7 days last week. First time to the East Algarve Hotel was fantastic Fast wifi all over hotel and pool area Great position 100 mtrs from beach with long boardwalk Beach is superb and you can walk for miles each way. Close to a selection of bars, restaurants and supermarkets Room - large,clean,comfortable beds,large bathroom with great shower,free safe,free aircon. Cleaned every day. Staff - all helpful - special mention for Victor and Nicole in Bar Food - Breakfast - great selection of hot and cold food - Selection of eggs,bacon,sausage,beans,tomatoes,cereals,fruit,cold meats,cheeses,tea,coffee,orange juice plus good selection of bread/rolls plus fast toaster Dinner - soup,large salad selection,choice of 2/3 fish dishes and 2 meat dishes,potatoes,vegetables,rice,pasta,3/4 cakes,ice cream,fruit Bar - resonable prices, good selection of spirit brands,draught lager,bottled beer/cider,wine - Happy hour 17.00 to 18.00 half price - 2 large gordons gin and schweppes tonic 6.50 - cheaper than Wetherspoons Pool area - always clean with plenty of new sunbeds - pool looked nice but a bit too cold to go in Didn't try the gym Would recomend this hotel to anyone who wants a ”chilled out” break 90% of clients over 50 with mixture of British/Dutch/German/Scandanavians The only fault I could find was that the hairdryers were not very powerful - take your own and a kettle if you want a drink in your room Hope to stay here again next year

The week before Christmas was the perfect time to enjoy this lovely hotel. It's well designed and well equipped. The rooms are a good size. The roof terrace a sun trap ideal for sun bathing and reading in December. The food was delicious. The staff were really helpful and friendly and all just five minutes walk to the enormous and largely empty beach. Monte Gordo is a bit busy for my taste in the summer but for a sunny winters break this was heavenly.

The hotel is very clean, friendly and staffs are very welcoming, pleasant and attentive to the need of each customers. Rooms very spacious, airy and bright. Breakfast buffet is well stocked up and with plenty of choices for various requirements of clients. Swimming pool is a bonus due to extreme heat outside, water very cold and would appreciate the water being bit warmer. Vast car park is a plus, busy parking around hotel perimeter. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The room and bathroom were both very spacious. They did feel a bit outdated though, but that was part of the charm. The bed was quite hard though, so the sleep quality wasn't optimal. Our room had a small terrace with a lovely view: ideal to enjoy the warm summer evening and very practical to dry your swimsuit and towels. We really enjoyed the quiet location of the hotel and the beautiful views on the Spanish hills on the other side of the river Guadiana. The hotel staff was very friendly and although we arrived to early they let us into the room before check-in time. We booked a boat ride in the hotel, which was the highlight of our stay. The captain of the boat turned out to be a gentleman from the Netherlands and offered us the opportunity to steer the boat for a while. We really had a great time! The swimming pool is big enough to cool down after a hot day. We didn't succeed in conquering one of the sunbeds (we didn't mind, we only went there for a swim), so if you like relaxing by the pool, make sure to arrive at the moment the pool opens. The food and drinks in the bar are good. The dishes are simple, but tasty and the wine was poured very generously. I have to complement the cook the prepared the English breakfast. I loved every bit of it!

Hotel location is very good looking, next to the traffic lights on the main street, very large hotel, free parking, we booked temporarily, want to live at the border on the last night in Portugal, the town is very clean, the hotel is 5 minutes walk to the town The largest commercial street, eating and drinking is very convenient, the hotel front desk is also very warm

I really, truly hate writing negative or even average reviews, but my experience at this hotel left a lot to be desired. This is a hotel for older people, to be frank. Nearly every person I saw, with the exception of the staff and one or two middle-aged women, was 60+. Do not bring your children here, because they will not enjoy themselves. We’ll start with the positives: - I stayed in room 109 - lovely use of space, very nice balcony with a lovely view. VERY clean. - Cleaners all throughout the hotel were very polite and lovely. - The pool areas were gorgeous, very clean & the Bali beds were a delight. The spa area was good too. - Hotel very close to the beach. Check in was quick (more on this later) - The interior design is interesting! Not for everyone obviously, but I liked it. And now the negatives: - The biggest flaw in this hotel is the restaurant, particularly at dinner times. Very busy. - I cannot think of a word other than rancid to describe the food. I am not a fussy eater, but I genuinely wouldn’t serve the food they provided to my dog. I’ll attach a photo of the ‘salmon’ they served. The food was either dry, soggy, cold or just plain freezer food - veg, potatoes, everything. Felt like an Iceland showcase. Please do yourselves a favour and skip dinner at this hotel: it is not worth it. Breakfast however, ok! - The (one) waitress they had was always smiling which was lovely to see. The men were far too full on - the younger ones were lovely but the older gentlemen gave the impression they’d rather be anywhere else. I got approached asking what I’d like to drink whilst I was at the buffet which I thought was odd and quite rude. The constant checking up by multiple staff was also very uncomfortable - I’m trying to eat, please stop trying to make conversation. I got charged at checkout for a beer I hadn’t asked for and didn’t drink (I don’t drink beer…), but I wasn’t about to argue over €4. - The very odd one way entry system makes sense in terms of keeping up with who’s been into the restaurant, but is potentially dangerous for disabled people as the steps out of the restaurant aren’t overly accessible. - The check-in was quick, but too quick. No explanation of where anything was or even a mini map of the hotel. - Alma Spa was lovely, but not €17 euros lovely. Not everything worked. You also have to pay for a swimming cap on top of that. Overall - this hotel is not worthy of 4 stars. It’s barely even worth 2. Please save your money and look elsewhere. 3/5.

Hotel with excellent facilities. The perfect place to enjoy the good weather in the Algarve. Close to a fantastic beach. The package I chose was bed and breakfast. The only weak point was the quality of the products for breakfast. The juices are of very low quality, mini pastries almost non-existent and very bad waffles. The same is repeated at dinner. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and the buffet is very poor and without quality. I don't know if it's related to the all inclusive packages that most guests have, but I think it's a point to improve for customer satisfaction. We love it anyway, but without a doubt that if I return, I will eat outside the hotel.
