Zijinyuan Hotel is a rare high-end luxurious club-style hotel in Shipu. The proprietress is very attentive to the decoration, which is very high-end and feels very good. The club-style facilities on the 8th and 9th floors are decorated with high quality. (Part of the project has not been renovated yet) My friend and I were lucky enough to experience it first, and it was very good! The decoration style is grand and luxurious, and the view is broad, with a panoramic view of the entire Shipu Town. The location is peaceful and quiet, close to Shipu Port. Walking out of the hotel is a traditional street with snacks, food stalls and fruit stalls nearby. I am very happy to recommend and share this hotel with everyone! The proprietress is too enthusiastic. Stayed at the homestay for two days, the homestay is on the mountainside, very close to the ancient city. The room is clean and tidy, the scenery is very good, and it is near the sea. Before you check in, you can contact the boss to help with luggage and tell the parking location. The proprietress will make seafood fans for everyone to eat every morning. Very delicious. I just caught up with the Lixia boss and said to make a wheat cake tube. The room was very, very clean and new, with floor-to-ceiling windows, just on the side of the road, parking was super convenient. Although it was on the side of the road, the sound insulation was super good. I didn't hear any noise all night. The scenic spot was opposite, super close! I have stayed in many B&B hotels, big and small, and I fell in love with this one at first sight. After parking the car at the door, what struck my eyes was a super beautiful and exquisite small courtyard. It is really good to enjoy the cool night and admire the moon. The internal environment of the homestay is still very clean. I saw that the aunt was cleaning very seriously. The sheets were also replaced and cleaned by each guest. The stairs were also very clean.
It is equipped with disposable bath towels. The bath water is really not too hot. It is no problem in the hot weather. I don't know if it will be cold in winter.
There are a few cars parked at the door, and there are many places in the whole village under renovation.
Just at the entrance of Songlan Mountain Visitor Service Center, take a free bus to the East Beach in 3 minutes, and you can drive directly in before 8 am.

Highly recommended is the self-service laundry room. There are washing machines, dryers, and irons in the laundry room. They are well-equipped. After washing and drying, they can also be handed to the waiter. After drying, they will be delivered to the room. Very polite .
There is a lounge and Chinese catering on the first floor, which is very suitable for friends to come over to chat and have dinner. There is also free heart-warming tea in the lobby, all free of charge. Finally, the front desk service is superb. I called the front desk during special times and immediately used the robot to send masks and disinfectant alcohol tablets. The breakfast buffet was delicious.

NNicole StFRIENDLIEST Hotel in China! Honestly, these were the kindest hotel owners we've ever had the pleasure to encounter. Kind and thoughtful and helpful. The rooms were super clean and quiet. Breakfast was an absolute feast...plus it was prepared early in the morning due to our early train departure. The hotel's location in Qiantong Town was perfect and scenic. And the nightly hotel rates were very affordable. I definitely recommend staying here.

The staff was incredibly friendly, going out of their way to be helpful and offering valuable tips on things to do in the area. 包智慧 was especially kind and helpful! The room I stayed in had a beautiful view of the water, giving it a tropical vibe. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of delicious options, and the resort was very family-friendly.
While it was a shame that the outdoor pool was only open in July and August, the indoor pool and hot tub were still great. The resort's proximity to the Scenic Area allowed for a day of exploration, with hiking trails leading to waterfalls and a lovely temple. The resort was surrounded by lush trees, creating a serene atmosphere that I highly recommend.
The option to rent bikes and participate in various activities added to the enjoyment of the stay. I particularly appreciated the pleasant bonfire evenings with music, which provided a nice touch without being too loud. Overall, I highly recommend New Century Resort Jiulong Lake as a place to relax and unwind. It's conveniently located just a 45-minute taxi ride from the Ningbo train station.

NNgaire323We went to this lovely hotel in the ‘Cloud Forest’ directly after National Holiday with our family of 4 (2 toddlers) and my parents. We had two Songyuan rooms which were totally amazing. Stunning view of the trees and river and extremely spacious and thought out.
In fact the entire resort is beautiful and our kids LOVED the golf cart rides to dinner.
We got very unlucky with weather as it poured the two days we were there but we still managed the walk to Chiang Kai-sheks villa and water feature - which was beautiful and interesting.
On a slightly different note, with a western perspective there were a couple areas for improvement.
Ideally the restaurant menus could be translated to English and left in the rooms (it’s a nightmare trying to translate a menu, pick what to order with 2 hungry kids at a restaurant).
Also, the playroom wasn’t a playroom while we were there which was a big disappointment since it was raining. Not as advertised - just carpet in a room (which the kids did still have fun running around on).
Finally, a good hiking map of the area in the room would have been appreciated too.

BBinghong31My cousin’s ancestral home is Dongqian Lake, but he is now in Shanghai. The child is going to elementary school, and the family is going back to their hometown to play. This is a newly opened hotel with a very good location. As a Dongqian Lake person, I usually drive by and always look back. I booked two nights and could see Dongqian Lake directly through the window. I booked a lake view room. When I consulted the hotel, I was told that the lake view room only had a 2-meter bed. Since we are a family of three (the child is 7 years old), I booked an extra crib. Unexpectedly, after the guest arrived, he made it clear that he did not need an extra bed. It was already past 10 o'clock at night. The extra bed was cancelled, but the bed was not removed. When checking out, I found that the extra breakfast coupon for the extra bed had been used (the child was just over 1.2 meters tall). After explaining the situation, no extra bed fee was charged, nor was the booked extra bed breakfast fee. Very personal service. Absolute five-star service!

He added WeChat on the morning of our check-in. He gave us afternoon tea. He also arranged for it to be delivered to our room. This courtyard is really huge. The weekend price is also very good. There are many breakfast options.

You can watch the sunrise on the balcony in the morning. The beach is at the door of the hotel. It is very pleasant to go to the waves and sand after dinner in the evening! The hotel staff is very enthusiastic, especially Grace. She called to take the initiative to care before she set off. When I arrived at the lobby, I recognized her waiting. She also helped to coordinate the room change and gave recommendations for food, accommodation and travel. Other staff were also polite. The dishes in the hotel's Chinese restaurant taste good, the ingredients are fresh, and the taste is also good. The hotel has rich activities, a variety of entertainment facilities, and many options. There are just fewer table tennis and billiard tables. There are often queues and waiting. There is a chance to improve it appropriately. The location of the hotel is also good. There are attractions and food within half an hour of self-driving. Especially the green eyes of the Wizard of Oz in Dongdan Village, the rafting and 9D movies in Lingyan Volcano Scenic Area, the fat sister-in-law food in Shipu Ancient Town, and the Dongmen Island Scenic Area are all very attractive and very suitable for self-driving tours! excellent: the food and beverage manager and restaurant staff were always friendly and the food was excellent (though I think the price of a beverages is outrageous). the Thai curry is highly recommended.
the pools and spa pools are great
the room is nice and the whole building is beautiful.
a birthday cake and card to celebrate was very special and thoughtful.
to improve:
the cocktails we're awful each time we tried a new one...the ingredients were listed but not all present in the drink
the check in and checkout - first and last impressions need to be improved. check in we didn't receive a friendly smile to guide us to the counter, check out was a long queue
during the busy time, more shuttle cars are required, we had several 20-30minutes wait times and guests act a bit silly and selfish, pushing to get on the shuttle bus even when families with small children where waiting longer. it was 40degrees Celsius so walking was not a safe option.
I had to call three times to get housekeeping on the first day and was told usually housekeeping only come every second day, which doesn't make sense. I don't need my bed made or towels changed, but I do need the trash removed daily. a bit of a strange policy for a pretty expensive hotel.
the play are for kids is nice and the staff are generally friendly and patient.
very mixed review I'm afraid.

GGuest UserI have to say that this place is really nice. The resort in the valley slows down the fast-paced life. Come here to relax and rest at ease!
In the morning, you can walk up along the stream and take a walk. It is considered to be unpolluted nature.
Environment: The resort is in the ravine, isolated from the world, quiet in the hustle and bustle, a different resort.
Facilities: Although the resort does not have a star standard, I think for sheets, quilts, pillows, and toiletries, I can think of it as a four-star resort.
Hygiene: For a resort homestay, it has done very well.
Service: I have to say that the waiters here are really good. Before the car stopped, two young men came out with umbrellas to greet us, help us arrange accommodation, take us to the room, and take the initiative to help carry the luggage. After entering the room, they introduced us one by one, and there were many cares. For those who don’t know, ask the housekeeper on WeChat, and the reply is also fast.
After all, this is in the mountains, and there are more ”cuties”. It is recommended to contact the housekeeper to disinfect before checking in.
Anyway, it is worth coming here overall, it is really good.

we have a lot of positive things to say. the concierge/doormen were especially helpful and kind and patient. They always offered to help get us a taxi because getting transport is a challenge. They were friendly and professional.
The room was spacious and clean.
Some things suggested for improvenent:
the spare lounge room is an awkward space with just two chairs and a big open space with no table or tv or any use. and a plug in the middle of the floor. There is also no bedside plug to plug in my phone charger.
Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was cold everyday. The serving dishes did not keep the food warm.
The beef noodles were served warm (made to order) and very delicious.
We would be interested to see if the other amenities are open in the summer and we may visit again.

AAnonymous UserTaking advantage of the holiday, I was able to walk around. It took almost half an hour to go from the mountain to the mountain. The mountains were lush and the vegetation was lush along the way. What made me unforgettable was the warm-hearted service of the hotel, the little butler. Jiang's special warm hospitality❤️ not only took us to the room, but also gave us a warm farewell when we checked out. He also gave us souvenirs and patiently collected our opinions or suggestions, which added a touch of warmth to our trip and gave us the opportunity.
