Weekend a Napoli

Check-in experience: The hotel is located in a safe middle-class neighborhood. Initially, upon arrival, the house seemed a bit old, and there were concerns about the safety of the neighborhood. However, after checking in, it was found to be completely safe and reliable. Mr. Paolo Coppola , the house owner is giving us a sense of home. After his introduction we discovered that this house has a history of nearly 200 years, having been passed down through three generations. Truly amazing! Room features: The rooms are filled with the local Neapolitan lifestyle, with some furniture even being made by the owner. Each room's king size bed can be converted into two single beds, catering to different guest needs. The breakfast area is adorned with the Paolo and his family's life experiences and personal touches, including old photos, exquisite miniatures, books, scents, and coffee, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. A minor flaw is that guests staying on the ground floor cannot freely access the common areas, but if I book a room on the second floor next time, I should be able to access them. Breakfast experience: Breakfast is served in a very locally characteristic dining room. Guests need to pre-order the meal a day in advance, and the staff will have it ready the next day. Sightseeing recommendations: The owner will provide day trip suggestions to historical and cultural sites in Naples and the surrounding Gulf, including Pompeii. They even assist in making reservations. They also mentioned the opportunity to participate in local cooking classes, but due to our short stay, we couldn't take advantage of it. Otherwise, I would have definitely signed up for a few classes! Surrounding restaurants: The restaurants recommended by Paolo were fantastic! Perhaps due to the overall high dining standards in Naples, we had a pizza meal at a restaurant with a recipe passed down through five generations. Another meal was at an Italian restaurant leaning towards fine dining, with a wide selection of fresh seafood. The cooking method allowed the ingredients' flavors to shine, leaving us with a memorable experience. This hotel, along with these restaurants and cuisines, is the best reason for our next visit to Naples!

What can I say, what a wonderful find. Immaculately clean, serviced every day, by JR,comfy bed, hot tub and breakfast at a time of our choosing. Our host's, Paulo and Patrieza,made excellent recommendations and booked everything for us. It is highly likely we will return some time soon.

We found WAN on the tripAdvisor site, and everything that other reviewers said was true. Paolo and Patrizia made us feel as though we had come to visit family. They helped us get transportation from the airport in Naples, gave a guided tour of the area, advised us on what to do and see in Naples. doted on us during stay to be sure we were comfortable, and had a hearty breakfast every mornining. Their famiily has owned this lovely grand home for multitple generations, and they have a wonderful staff who help them maintain it to share with guests. They gave us helpful suggestions on restaurants, even made reservations for us, and as a result, we had really great meals, and got an education in Italian wines of the Campania region. We were able to enjoy the Park Floridiana, and the quite beautiful views of the isle of Capri and Mt. Vesuvius, and a hike up to Castel Saint'Elmo in our 2 days in the city. They made sure we had every comfort of home, and we cannot recomomend them highly enough.

The hosts, Paolo and Patrizia, were very attentive and provided the utmost service. Paolo provided a local pizza place that was the BEST pizza we ever had! Paolo suggested an alternative Pompeii tour which provided pick up and drop off from the bnb ( the one we originally booked did not). That was a great stress reducer after seeing Napoli traffic! Patrizia arranged a taxi on day of departure to the Napoli train station. Paolo suggested a walkable trip to villa Floridana park. The view of the bay of Naples was awe inspiring. The bnb was paolo’s grandfathers house ( a charming old house with modern consciences). If/ when I go back to Napoli my stay is here.

We spent four nights at this funky boutique hotel in the Vomero section of Naples. This hotel was originally a large house with a small courtyard and now has a few guest rooms and suites. It has some unique features. For example, we needed four keys to get into our room - one for the courtyard, one for the house, one for the hallway to our room and one for our room. There is no reception desk. Also, the room includes breakfast in one of several private breakfast rooms on the second floor. By the way, the breakfast buffets were excellent. Service provided by the hotel was excellent. Hotel provided airport pickup, made dinner reservations for us one night, and arranged for a couple of tours of nearby attractions. Hotel location in Naples is very good because it is close to restaurants, grocery stores and a large pedestrian mall with many stores and shops. Room was quiet and adequate. Unfortunately the hotel is in the heart of Naples. It was our first trip to Naples and I would not want to go there again. The city is dirty, noisy and run-down. Most roads are cobblestone and traffic is chaotic. Luckily we didn't have a car there. Many people there seemed stressed out and generally unfriendly. The hotel could also use a few minor upgrades. One of the electric outlets in our room was falling out of the wall. The room refrigerator didn't keep anything cold. And we were constantly battling mosquitoes in our room. Overall though, the hotel was very good and would recommend it for anyone who wants to experience Naples.

Patrizia and Paolo were very accommodating for our short stay in Napoli. They are located in a cool neighborhood in Napoli that has access to bars, restaurants, and shopping. We arrived from the ferry port in brevello via taxi. If we would have packed lighter, we would have utilized Paolo's recommendation of taking the Metro which has a nearby drop off. We stayed one night for our early flight that left Napoli airport the next morning. Patrizia was most helpful in helping to book the early morning taxi and getting us prepped to do the early morning checkout. Everything went seamlessly. Normally a breakfast is provided, instead Patricia packed us a small breakfast for the road. The room met our needs with all the necessary accommodations i.e. air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and comfy bed for our Overnight stay. We wish we could have stayed longer, but this was the end of our trip to Italy and it allowed for an easy ride to the airport.
