"The Hotel is literally a two minutes walk from the train station, the lad that checked me in was pleasant and showed me up to my room, no 10, the room overlooked the river which was nice, however there were no net curtains which wasn’t very conducive to privacy, the room was spacious, clean and tidy, there was plenty of room to hang clothes, there was two chairs a large tv and tea & coffee making facilities, the kettle was spotless inside, the mattress was very firm but did not disturb my sleep, however the pillows weren’t very thick so I had to use three, the bathroom was also quite large but showing signs of needing a lick of paint around the base of the shower, the shower itself was hot and powerful, there is free Wifi at the property, breakfast comes at an extra charge, £5 for cooked £3 for continental, there were cereals, juice and yogurts, the woman serving breakfast was pleasant and chatty, although it is just over a mile from the city centre there are plenty of places close by where you can eat, it’s ideal if you’re there for football as I was because it’s only about a 15 minutes walk to the ground, a very enjoyable nights stay.
