"Ocean shores was excellent location for the spare of the moment decision to get away for this time of year. Was lucky enough to get due to cancellation the staff were friendly and couldn't help us enough with our stay, very helpful. Fishing was awesome of having the choice of beach or river fishing. Access to club next door for that beer or two and a meal to end your day was awesome. Amenities and park very clean, great playing area for kids etc. Can't wait to come back again. "What a find! An amazing quirky but beautifully appointed space! Honestly in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney you would pay $600+ a nite! Our host Steve was amazing and we honestly couldn’t fault our room (Bowie theme 😍) Our room was just amazing, super Comfy bed and just so well designed. We stayed one night on a Monday so the bar/ restaurant wasn’t t open but we went to an amazing Thai in town called SAI, right next to Cole’s. The food was incredible."

"I stayed recently in one of the beach houses, upon entry i was greeted with dirty walls, filthy oven, crumbs still on the bench tops from previous occupants, dust, the feel of gritty sand under foot, blood splatter on one of the pillows, broken blinds. I should have walked out and demanded my money back, yes my mistake. I was contacted by email a few days later asking me how i enjoyed my stay, after telling of my disappointment i received and email from manager Mathew Wooldridge making excuses that it had been a busy season and that if i felt my stay had been so disappointing i should contact him to discuss a refund. I have now called twice and still no reply to my calls. I WILL NEVER BE BACK and NEVER RECOMMEND!!!"
