"My stay at the Lotus Hotel far exceeded my expectations; it was an unforgettable desert getaway 🏜️. The hotel, shaped like a pristine white lotus, blooms in the Kubuqi Desert. Its unique architectural design, stunning against the golden dunes by day and magically illuminated by night, offers endless photo opportunities. The all-inclusive package is wonderfully hassle-free. The three buffet meals offer a wide variety, including authentic Inner Mongolian specialties, and snacks and drinks are available all day. The guest wristband grants unlimited access to Xiansha Island and Yuesha Island, with VIP access that bypasses long queues in the sun, significantly enhancing the overall experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that provide direct desert views. A humidifier is a thoughtful touch, effectively combating the desert dryness. The staff are attentive and considerate, and the internal shuttle service makes getting around convenient. Watching the desert sunset in the evening, followed by a lively bonfire party and stargazing at night, creates a truly atmospheric experience. There’s no need to constantly travel back and forth to attractions; everything from dining to entertainment is handled in one place, making it perfect for families. If you’re visiting Xiangshawan, I highly recommend staying at the Lotus Hotel."

"I booked the hotel recommended by Ctrip as the number one luxury hotel in Ordos. Because it's a new hotel, the facilities are visibly well-maintained, with solid wood construction and decent smart technology. They even gave me a blue hada (a traditional ******* ceremonial scarf) upon check-in. However, this was the worst luxury hotel experience I've ever had, with serious management issues. 1. The air conditioning wasn't working properly. I woke up three times in the middle of the night because of the heat. The front desk told me the only way to cool down was to open the windows, as all the fans and humidifiers were already borrowed. In the end, I had to lie on the sofa with the curtains open, or even drink a beer from the mini-bar to cool down before I could fall back asleep. 2. The hotel's smart technology is terrible. The nightlight sensor turned on as soon as I turned over in bed, and the bathroom light turned on automatically when I got out of bed and didn't turn off automatically. Even after I turned off the light in the bathroom, it automatically turned back on when I walked back to the bed. I had to press sleep mode... and then there was another terrifying cascading effect: the curtains would automatically close again while in sleep mode. 3. Hygiene issues: there were obvious cigarette butts and ash in the bathroom when I checked in. And this is supposed to be a non-smoking room? 4. The new hotel had a very strong smell of renovation, especially in the Deluxe Rooms in Building B. I changed to a different room type in Building A, which was slightly better, but still somewhat unpleasant. 5. The hotel's service training was inadequate. When I called to request a room change, they didn't offer a solution immediately; they only said they would arrange for someone to come and change the room after I called a second time. Furthermore, their check-in and check-out services were not proactive. In short, this was the worst hotel experience I've had in a year (out of 200 days)."

The hotel is a bit on the smaller side with somewhat limited space, but the layout is compact and efficient, making it very convenient to access all functional areas. This actually works out as an advantage when traveling with kids, as you don't have to walk long distances. However, there are three minor drawbacks: 1. The dining quality significantly lags behind that of the Lotus Hotel. I suggest the hotel upgrade its meal standards. Adjusting room rates or dining prices accordingly would be feasible. For guests, the core appeal is the vacation experience, and improved dining would greatly boost overall reputation. 2. While the pool looks impressive, the water temperature is too low. Even with an outdoor temperature of 38℃ on that day, the pool water was still freezing cold, making it impossible to swim. This was a significant disappointment compared to expectations. 3. During my stay, there was a minor issue with room cleaning. Thankfully, the hotel, in coordination with Trip.com, resolved it efficiently and properly. Both the resolution process and the final outcome were very satisfactory. Compared to similar hotels in the Desert region, the Shansha Hotel is generally recommendable. Its unique, futuristic architecture resembles an interstellar island in the desert, making it a top choice for families with children."

Cleanliness: The bedding appeared clean, but the rest of the room wasn't properly cleaned or replaced promptly. The children's toothbrush cups seemed reused, and I think the small bathroom stools should be cleaned or replaced promptly. The makeup mirror was clean on one side, but stained on the other—not a very pleasant experience! Environment: The location is great, and the second-floor restaurant is also excellent. The combination of white clouds and blue sky creates a soothing, grassland-like feel. The breakfast and late-night snacks are both worth mentioning.
