The Clifton at Paignton

Me and my wife, Sarah, loved our stay. Claire and Steve were wonderful hosts and very accommodating. Bought us a card and chocolates for a wedding anniversary. Rooms were clean and tidy. The hotel itself was very close to the station, shops and seafront.

Just back from a stay at The Clifton...had to cut our stay by a day due to a family illness and in the rush forgot our Apple iphone charger which Steve kindly sent back to us by post which was really appreciated. Had a great 3 days...free parking/good location and friendly hosts made our stay very enjoyable

I was only here for a couple of nights on a flying visit but had a warm welcome from Steve on my arrival and the room was spot on for my needs. I did not need breakfast so can't coment on that but the lcoation of the B&B is perfect in Paignton with the seafront a few yards one way and the shops a few yards the other way. Clean , neat and tidy. Cheers.

An amazing bed and breakfast, probably the nicest couple we have had the pleasure to meet. Steve and Claire are so caring, helpful, very approachable and have an great knowledge of the area, if you are looking for a nice restaurant or something to do, they will know. The hotel is spotless and breakfasts are the best we have had, it is the only hotel that can produce a fried egg the is as near perfect as you could have. Good luck and keep the great a**osphere going.

The rooms were good, we had 1 double room, also a family room which was a double & twin with divider door. It was very clean. The hosts were great, even parked my car as I couldn’t do it! En suites were good and had everything we needed. We didn’t have breakfast as the kitchen was being refurbished while we were there, but there were plenty of places to get food within a short distance. Ideal location for shops/beach/attractions. There were a lot of stairs and I’m unsure whether there were rooms downstairs, if not then not good for people with mobility issues, but phone them as they may cater for this. They were very friendly, helpful and approachable.

Just got back from a few days at this place with family and i cannot praise it enough, our hosts Steve & Claire provided us with lovely clean accommodation, great breakfast and a cosy and welcoming environment, throughly reccomend The Clifton in Paignton to anyone thinking of visiting the area

Me and my partner travelled down to Paignton for the long weekend away. As it was my first time visiting, I was pleasantly surprised by the location as the beach and pier were right at the doorstep. There were lots of great local shops, cafes and restaurants in the surrounding area. Claire and Steve were lovely hosts, and happy to recommend the best that Torquay had to offer, and were helpful in explaining the local transportation available. Overall, the room was spacious, clean and had necessary amenities available (as well as free wifi!). Would definitely recommend the Clifton to all if you're planning on visiting!

Lovely stay at The Clifton this weekend, the room was super clean, great shower and all the amenities. The b&b is really well located with the sea front, shops, bars, and the train station right on your door step. Great place to stay, would definitely stay again!

Fantatsic stay at The Clifton. The location is ideal with the beach front, town centre, bus and train station all within a few minutes walk. We were able to enjoy Paignton and visit nearby towns (Torquay and Brixham) over a long weekend. The hosts are very friendly with lots of local knowledge and we look forward to returning.
