„This hotel was great to stay at while visiting the nearby sky pits. The staff were helpful, especially Huangdanlian. She helped me figure out transportation to the attractions and recommended dining options. When it was raining, she even ran outside after I had left to offer me an umbrella! The kindness of the staff is something I will remember about my trip to Leye. The location for coming to or from Baise is excellent. The bus can drop you off a 5-minute walk from the hotel and to get back to Baise, the return bus leaves from the alley across the street. Many dining options are only a short walk away. The only issue with the hotel was the residual cigarette smell in the room which was very strong. This is an issue with other hotels I have stayed at in Guangxi and hope the hotel can make moves to have dedicated non-smoking rooms in the future.”

„This place has hands down been the most memorable stay we have ever had! As a couple traveling for the first time in China, Yukong, his family, and friends gave us a feeling of home and took care of us in a way we never experienced from a homestay. The house itself is build by Yukong's grandparents 70 years ago, and is placed in the middle of a Kiwi farm on the mountains outside Leye city. We shared great meals together every night in front of the fireplace with the boiling soup bowl at the center. Friends and family of the house even cared for bringing all sorts of classical Chinese instruments to the house to play traditional folk music for us - something we will never forget! Together we sang karaoke, drank rice wine, laughed and had great talks, despite of the language barrier. One could tell that our well being mattered to all of them, and that they wanted us to experience and understand their culture. Yukong and his brother even joined us for a hike in the nearby geopark and helped us with litterarly everything regarding planning and activities (which was so helpful, as none of us speaks Chinese). They took so much time off their hands to help us getting around and showed us the most wonderful local tourist attractions and great places to eat. The area has a lot to offer, and we were amazed that we seemed to have it all to ourselves. If you are in Guangxi, or anywhere else in China, for that matter, do yourself a favor and book a stay here. It is something you will remember for a long time. The nature, the culture, and especially the family you are gonna stay with, are wonderful.”

„We had an issue in our bathroom and asked maintenance staff to come and fix it, and he smoked a cigarette in our room while he was working. The whole room reeked of smoke after. Parking lot was across the street and it wasn’t free, despite the hotel advertising free parking. While it was not expensive, the person guarding the parking lot also tried to cheat us but we called him out.”
