„I really liked my stay there. I do think it may be harder for foreigners to stay here compared to possibly other options as most workers do not speak English. I found it quite hard to communicate. However, I do recommend it and I personally would stay again. Especially as we overcame the challenges of communication and I was easily able to work with the staff. The bathroom and bed are amazing and I would love to use them again. The airport is only 10 yen away by taxi which is amazing and I honestly would come again.  I added two photos. One of my breakfast and another of the room while I was watching tv.”

„Coupl We had a fantastic stay at the Kempinski and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The hotel is perfectly located, with a stunning view of the lake, which was especially enchanting at night. Watching the moonlight dance on the water while relaxing at the hotel was truly magical. The staff were so warm and accommodating, but we’d like to give a special mention to Scott. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and his friendly nature really made us feel at home. Breakfast was a real treat. The buffet had a great variety of options, and we were always excited to see what was on offer each morning. We particularly loved the apple oatmeal – it became a must-have for us during our stay! One of the highlights of the trip was strolling around the lake together. It was so peaceful and refreshing, and the scenic walk added such a lovely touch to our mornings. All in all, our stay at Kempinski was perfect. We left feeling relaxed, well-fed, and grateful for the amazing service and beautiful surroundings. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with top-notch service and views to match!”

„The location is very advantageous, close to Zhongshan Road in Xiamen. There are also many restaurants around. It's very close to any scenic spot, and across from it is Gulangyu Island. There is a viewing terrace on the fourth floor for you to take a look. I am very satisfied with every part of the hotel, except for the bed sheets. I stayed for four consecutive days without changing them”

Once I stepped-in the room, i directly noticed that this hotel itself can be a hotel and alsl can be a resort in terms of view from the window. Xiamen's nice weather and amazing veiw over the lake made my memories unforgettable especially in sunset so that i really had wonderful time at this hotel. Regarding room condition, this hotel is not new hotel, but it is well-maintained and well-managed hotel so that i had no hygiene issue. As for Breakfast, This hotel offers various selection at Breakfast buffet restaurant with tasty hot dishes. Each section was filled with dedicated chef and they were very polite and up for anything for Hotel guest. Overall, well-managed and organized hotel in Xiamen and hope to visit the hotel again.”

„The hotel is well located. Behind it is Zhongshan road pedestrian walk. One minute walk away is a huge shopping mall. The nearest MRT Zhenghai Lu station is about 7min walk thru the shopping centre. Hotel amenities are very complete. I used their free laundry & steamer almost everyday. Washing liquid or detergent are also provided. Staff are extremely friendly & helpful in many ways. A special mention to 小钟 & 小纪 who helped me with booking of High Speed Rail tickets - which is a difficult process if booked thru 12306 app which needs a local contact phone #n for which I didn't have. Will I book this hotel again? A definite Yes..”

„Love this hotel! Great location very close to subway station and ZhongsanLou with lots of dining choices. Room is great for families too! Very big, equipped with a mini kitchen with induction cooker, pans, utensils, a huge ref and microwave! Practically your home away from home. The breakfast also has lots of great choices! The only ”glitch” for me here is the super long wait in the elevator mid-morning due to many checkouts and breakfast rush. Fire escape stairwell is also locked so we couldnt go down, so we ended up taking the elevator up just to go down. But overall the staff are very helpful, and they even accomodated our extended checkout time.”

„Highly recommended esp due to good location. Lots of restaurants nearby & mall just opposite of hotel. Kind & helpful staff named Lisa & Roki that made our stay a very pleasant one. Room was spacious. My only feedback is that the breakfast can be improved. Serving all types of potatoes in one morning is just too boring. Boiled eggs & tea eggs at the same time is just no brainer. Maybe I expected more as this is Holiday Inn not some local hotel brand.”

WWan SuwanThe apartment location is in good environment, going around with taxi is fair enough, however, the building itself doesn't exist on the map, only the neighbor one does, which made us difficult to find the right building when we first arrived, plus we have no idea that the check in room, is one of the room on the 5th floor, as in the address of the hotel, it just put room 501, 521 Gaolin Road, etc. I recommend to give more details to ease the check-in of the hotel description like, 'when arrive, please contact room 501 on the 5th floor to check in', also, the hotel should pin the exact building location on the map, otherwise, guests may get lost on first arrive like us, whereas people around don't speak English to help too. The apartment itself is clean and in good condition with good space & layout. Facilities are good enough, except, the kitchen is kind of waste because there is no kitchenette at all, they only provide bottle water, glasses/paper cup & electric kettle in the kitchen, in which we expect a hotel apartment should have at least some kitchenette like tableware, cutlery, pot or pan (as they have electric stove) and at least a microwave oven & dishwashing liquid, which partly why we choose to stay in the apartment rather than normal hotel. This is one of the upset issues that we have for this stay. The breakfast comes as McDonald's breakfast coupon consists of one small Berger & a drink, which is fine as McDonald is on the street level of the building itself. Plus thing is that we can request for more bottle water & the disposable towel with no additional cost. Although the disposable towel is not so good to use as towel, they are still acceptable & hygienic, so, if you want more comfort, I suggest, bring your own towel. The washer works well, no dryer, but they provide hanger with drying space where there are windows open. The nearest large shopping center, Wanda Plaza, is nearby, taxi costs only ~CNY10, where you can find lots of restaurants & Walmart, etc. In overall, this property is good & worth of money.

GGośćWe had a beautiful stay at Lan Hua Li and strongly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Xiamen. The setting of the hotel is gorgeous, on a hill just up from Shapowei. Walking distance (including to Nan Pu Tuo and Xiamen University), but a peaceful world away from the city overlooking Xiamen harbour. The property itself is very beautiful with a lovely outdoor area and gardens with a shallow pool, and a very peaceful bistro/cafe/bar. The rooms are beautiful. Just as you see in the photos. While the bed is lovely and the views gorgeous, the real winner is the bathtub in the bedroom. I'm not usually a bath person, but I bathed every night of our 6 night stay and loved it. In addition to this, there is also a very functional large bathroom with shower. What made the stay particularly charming is the kindness of the staff. Everyone - from the managers to the breakfast staff to the early morning cleaner who chatted to me while I had my dawn cigarette in the garden - was very welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. As a foreigner, with practical challenges travelling in China, I cannot emphasise enough how reassuring and helpful this was. We will always remember our stay at Lan Hua Li, and will recommend it to our friends and perhaps will come to stay again someday if we ever want a nostalgic holiday in Xiamen. The hotel’s location is perfect, offering easy access to nearby attractions. The staff also kindly gave me breakfast coupons. The breakfast was delicious and vairous. They change the menu everyday and provide the specialties of Xiamen. Overall, my experience was nothing short of outstanding, and I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Xiamen. OOhYLThe hotel is situated at a very bustling shopping street area, you can get all the local foods/snacks and a great place to buy souvenirs and gifts. Beside the hotel side door is 24hr mart and Luckin coffee, very convenient. Although the hotel looks abit dated but cleanliness is still up to standard and room is spacious. Laundry room and gym is abit hectic to get to, u need to climb a flight of stairs from 2nd floor to 3rd floor ( not accessible by lift). I liked the customer services from the reception and housekeeping, they attended to our issues promptly and sincerely. We had enjoyed the stay with the hotel.

AAnonimowy użytkownikThe hotel is pretty new. The room is clean and they provided the toiletries. There is housekeeping daily to clean the room but they did not make the bed. The room is equipped with smart appliance that works with voice commands to Xiao Du. There is a laundry area and guest can access to it with free of charge. However, few of the room that we booked, has problem with the flooring. The hotel quickly changed us for a new room when we complaint about the flooring that caused hazard. The breakfast is similar everyday with little choice. The hotel is at level three of the shopping mall. There is a lot of eatery shop nearby with a convenience shop opposite the hotel. In short, the location is very strategic and can access to all shops (e.g. pharmacy, lucking coffee, bread shop, milk tea shop, eatery street, and etc) at walking distance.

Given the late hour and festive season, we were concerned that nearby restaurants might already be closed. To our pleasant surprise, several small eateries within 50 meters of the hotel were still open, allowing us to enjoy a proper late dinner. It was a reassuring start to our stay. The hotel’s environment is comfortable and welcoming. The lobby features a bright, clean design with warm wood tones and soft lighting that create a calm, relaxing atmosphere. A tasteful display area and cozy seating space add a subtle blend of business functionality and artistic charm. The front desk staff were professional and courteous, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient despite the late hour. We stayed in the Premier Themed Room (Japanese Style with Sakura), which was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Upon entering, we were greeted by a beautifully designed Japanese-inspired interior. Warm lighting, wooden flooring, and delicate sakura (cherry blossom) wall art created a serene and elegant ambiance. Wooden partition panels and subtle decorative details added refinement, giving the space an artistic yet tranquil feel — almost like a small ryokan-style retreat in the heart of Xiamen. The room was thoughtfully designed, spacious, and impeccably clean. A charming feature was the private balcony, which allowed fresh air in. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, dressed in crisp white linens. The mattress offered excellent support, and the pillows were soft yet supportive, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. All essential toiletries were generously provided, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dental kits, slippers, and towels. Everything was neatly arranged and well-maintained, reflecting attention to guest comfort. The complimentary breakfast was another pleasant surprise. It offered a good variety of well-prepared options, making it a satisfying way to start each day. The location is highly convenient, close to the Xiamen International Convention & Exhibition Center, with California Plaza Shopping Mall next door offering numerous dining choices. Whether for business or leisure, the hotel is an excellent option. Most importantly, the nightly rate was very reasonable and offered excellent value, especially considering the themed décor, balcony, full amenities, and included breakfast. AAnonimowy użytkownikOverall the stay is really good as the price is reasonable, location is very convenient to walking and eating street. However, it's a bit difficult to locate as it only has a small counter in building.. The rooms are decently clean though the view is building rooftop and the water basin tap is leaking, making the room a bit wet... U may need to bring own towel if u r not used to disposable ones.. In conclusion, it's a decent room and yes, we will stay again n recommend this homestay to others..

Booked ji xin room type and expected room not worse than photos and size and furniture as advertised in trip.com It's the first time I encounter staff kept telling me my room is a ”special offer” room at check in process when I didn't ask anything about the room. She was very friendly and even offered to usher us to our room. When we exit lift at level 9, she led us to a hidden stairs behind the lift. So no wonder she has to led us because the ”special offer” room was hidden. The wall and corridor looked different from the normal rows of rooms from lift level. When we went in the room, we realised it's very small but didn't immediately check trip.com photos and booking details. We put our bags and left quickly for dinner. When we returned I don't think the room matched what I booked here so I went to the counter and inform the same staff. At this moment, I understand why she kept using the words ”special offer room” when I checked in. Advertised pictures of the room type showed several different designs but all have space for table and chair. The room given to me only has leg space around the double bed and a low cabinet (height of stool) near the door. Shower and toilet are in the same space which means toilet will be wet when u shower. This room is 902. At the counter, the staff said I should have rejected the room at first glance and she doesn't have other rooms which looked more like the advertised rooms because I rejected too late. Her colleague besides her said the hotel has many different rooms. She said my room is ”special offer room” and they don't bother to look at my phone to see trip.com photos and listed space and furniture provided. I made the colleague look at trip.com room photos and tell me the type of room they belong to. To my horror, the staff sad those are Yi yue rooms and not yi xin. So I asked them if they are telling me that the hotel used yi yue room photos as advertisements to sell yi xin rooms. Then she became quiet and the girl suddenly has other room for me to change. Although the new room (also level 9) still didn't have the table and chair as per listed in trip.com booking details and photos but at least it is far more decent. Please be careful if you have already booked this hotel!
