„Ideal location beside the promenade; facing peaceful green gardens and view of sea - so best of both. Friendly reception, we were given an upgrade on arrival. I was glad to have booked in good time at a very fair rate. A Canadian male on front desk especially welcoming as was a very patient, sunny young woman - both dealing with some pressure in person and on the phone, as hotel rooms were all full. The same cheerful coping/cooperation was evident next morning when breakfast demand was high. The hotel displays an Award received for the high quality of its Breakfasts. Plenty of choice for full English cooked and options for lighter Continental, including fresh fruit salad. Building is old, historic and characterful, clean and well-tended (the flowers in Reception were real) - the very opposite of stark modern blocks. The room was small but adequate for our needs/short stay, with comfortable twin beds, both windows were open to cooling air. Shower very easy to operate; it is within the bath itself so requires some agility to access. Parking is on-street, we were outside front door (card £1.80 per hour, cash in multiples of 90p for 30 mins); it is possible to 'over-pay' overnight, so there is no morning rush to avoid a Fine first thing. We were visiting for a funeral, at which I was to speak, and stayed one night; it was peaceful to rest after travelling and to prepare for the Service. Chatsworth was a good choice for us and we can recommend.”

„This was our first time at The Ardington Hotel, it is ideally situated in the centre of Worthing, close to the sea and all amenities. The bedroom was very clean and the large bed was very comfortable. The bathroom although dated was very clean and the shower worked well. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the little cupboard by reception with toiletries in it for guests to access if they had forgotten anything was great. The breakfast selection was excellent and the two breakfasts I had at the property were delicious. The hotel bar was a lovely environment to sit and have a drink in prior to going out for the evening. I would highly recommend The Arrington to other travellers.”

„Basic and no frills hotel in a prime location on Worthing seafront. I chose as it’s great value and the location could not be better. The place really could do with a refurb, that said, the staff are just fantastic. Such a warm welcome and everyone I encountered is so happy, helpful and engaging. So lovely, especially when travelling alone. Great budget stay and the people made all the difference.”

„We stopped off at the Coach and Horses with some friends for a one night stay whilst on a short road trip. We had visited Bognor Regis earlier in the day and so arrived at the hotel late afternoon. The hotel is part of the Coach and Horses public house and is easy to find located on the A27. We drove here and there was plenty of (free) parking for patrons. We checked in, in the bar area of the public house and met the owner who seemed very friendly and helpful and after being allocated our rooms we moved to the adjacent (separate) accommodation building which is of much newer construction. Entrance to this building requires a room pass key giving a good level of security. The interior is very clean and contemporary in its decoration, our rooms were located on the first floor and this is reached by a flight of stairs. Our room was a good size, very clean and decorated with light brown walls with a darker brown feature wall behind the bed and a shining white ceiling and windows looking out over the green fields at the rear of the property. The room was furnished with an ornate wooden double bed with bedside cabinets, a table and two chairs, a dressing table with mirror, wardrobe and flat screen TV. A small chest of drawers was also available and complimentary tea and coffee facilities were provided. The room had free Wifi. The bathroom was all tiled and had a bath and shower, basin and toilet and ‘built in’ hair dryer. There was a ledge above the sink giving lots of space for our own toiletries and a heated towel rail, which is always welcome. An electric shaver socket was provided and a small collection of complimentary toiletries were also provided. Everything about the room looked relatively new being both clean and well maintained, it was very welcoming. Being at the rear of the property, there was minimal road noise from the busy A27 and we slept well that night with the windows ajar. Our host was welcoming enough, quite friendly and helpful really and later that evening we dined in the public house (subject of another review), after having an early evening walk along Worthing seafront. We thoroughly enjoyed our (short) stay at the Coach & Horses and would most certainly consider a return visit if we were in need of accommodation in this area. We would not hesitate to recommend this to others.”

„Arrived to be told that £30 extra taken from my account due to 3 people and small dog visiting. This was detailed on my search when booking and as you can see from your request for a review it it addressed to Andrew, Kat and Anabel (2 parents and nine year old daughter), hence us booking a family room. On arrival we were also informed of a party taking place in the building adjoining our room. Very noisy and little sleep for my wife's birthday night away. Nice farm in good location. Awaiting refund for my daughter who was always visiting the family room.”
