"Wonderful grand hotel, located in a fashionable neighborhood. Spacious rooms, large garden with lawns and a swimming pool. My room had a balcony overlooking the gardens and out to the Pyranees. Ten minute drive to the Pau Golf Club. Avoid the restaurant. The food was terrible. "

"We did not read the reviews before, but in retrospect the latest ones are a true reflection of this place. The positives, it’s close to the town center, its pet friendly the pillows were remarkably comfortable. The negatives:- it’s scruffy, difficult to park close to it. It’s next to a night club so expect noise until 05:00 at the weekend. If you have reduced mobility there only access to the lobby are via a series of steps. The hotels photos are misleading, their main photo is of the town chateau! It’s now become my number 1 worst hotel I’ve stayed in!"
