The surroundings of the hotel were characterized by a spacious and open environment, with a running track located right in front of it. While the hotel may not have offered 5-star accommodations, it provided a pleasant and comfortable stay, which was perfectly suited to my needs. Sometimes, the location and the lively atmosphere surrounding it can outweigh the need for luxurious accommodations.”

„It’s a very standard hotel a bit far off from the city center, but relatively close to a shopping mall area with lots of shops and food. There’s also a café like around 300 meters away. We stayed there to go hike in Moganshan and as the hotel is in the city you will need to take a taxi to get there. Breakfast was okay and employees were extra nice, they helped us ordering food via app!”

„Went with friends and it was beautiful. The rooms were clean, staff was hospitable. Thank you Nico for being attentive, asking us about our dietary needs from the beginning of the trip till the end. We had items that we wanted to keep in the fridge and cook ourselves, and they allowed us to move around in the kitchen with the aunties also helping us. The food we asked for was prepared timely. „What a beautiful place to break away from the noise of everyday life! The entire camp has such a calm, serene, almost zen-like atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful and well thought out. The design and layout of the place are stunning. There’s bamboo growing everywhere, adding to the natural, tranquil vibe. The cabins themselves are pretty modern and clean. The staff we interacted with was incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful - even though there was a language barrier. Whether we needed a ride somewhere around the camp (which was always available thanks to staff driving around regularly) or had a question, they were always happy to assist. Adding reception on WhatsApp made things even easier – they responded quickly to any requests we had. The food was amazing. We especially loved the Chinese restaurant – every dish we tried was full of flavor. There’s a communal pool and other fun activities like paddling, which unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy due to the weather. Still, it’s nice to know they’re available. There’s also a small animal park where one can see peacocks, goats, chickens and ducks. It’s also nice to just walk around the camp. The views are just gorgeous, and the whole environment encourages you to relax and slow down. All in all, it’s the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and just enjoy some peace and the beauty of nature. One small downside was that there was only one coffee machine available at breakfast, which led to a long line. We ended up buying coffee, which was a bit inconvenient—especially since we could’ve had coffee for free. 🤭 I highly recommended Elephant and Moon! Would love to visit again!”

JJade TallowinWe had an amazing stay at this villa. The owners are by far the best part of the stay. They are so nice and friendly. The man drove us around town a few times and helped us prepare things for our bbq. He set everything up and cleaned it up. Whenever we offered to help he never allowed us. The room was immaculate when we arrived and everyday if we left the room no matter what time they would go up and clean it. We got fresh bedding and towels everyday which was not necessary but a very nice thought. Anything we needed we could just ask and they would help us. We did book this place over others based on they had a resturant but just be ware you need to have a minimum of 8 people in your party to use it. This was no problem for us though as we just ate in town down the road. I would highly recommend this place for couples who want to sit and enjoy nature but also any families looking for a nice place to relax. They have an amazing garden and the pool was great too. Honestly have no complaints! The games room was awesome too!

GGośćMy friend and I had a 3-night stay in this homestay and we enjoyed every single moment! It is nestled quietly on the foot of a hill with bamboo forest, tranquil and peaceful. The lady owner deliberately designed and built the 3-story house, every corner showing her unique taste. Loved the little garden and playful pets, especially the 4-month-old baby cat. The room was quiet and spacious with a high ceiling and a lovely bamboo hill view that I can't imagine to have back in Singapore, and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed so much staying in the room. The owners were chatty and very friendly, making our stay very enjoyable. And a big thumb-up to lady owner's cooking. It was a wonderful and memorable time staying in the homestay. Thank you very much!

GGośćMe and my girlfriend celebrated our anniversary here. We wanted to book a really nice place. I came across this hotel that had a private sauna in the room and thought it would be perfect for a spa-like retreat. The room was gorgeous and spacious with a big tub in the middle, a sauna, rain shower and a view of the mountain. The owner was very polite and accomodating. She allowed us to check in early, brought us a TV when requested, and the breakfast was “home cooked style” where they used some fresh seasonal ingredients grown around the area. For those with cars it also has a sizeable parking area under the building. Definitely recommend staying here on a visit to Moganshan.

SSoloWondersHotel is super new and the room was amazingly decorated, with good amenities. Wifi took a while to connect but worked well after the help of the hotel staff. The downside is it’s located close to the road so not convenient for travellers without cars who like to hike the mountain or cycle to the lake. You can see the bamboo forest from your window, walk in the little paths and stream close to the hotel and the pool is clean. So overall a good resting experience! Breakfast is Chinese food. Bring your own coffee if you’re a coffee person! Hotel staff was amazing and ready to help us having a good time :)

GGośćGood for taking beautiful photos for the social media but rather poor user experience. Aesthetics of this place are good, some corners are really charming. Still it is the comfort that we value the most in a hotel as well as the quality service and unfortunately they are not at the same level of the aesthetics. The room is huge but there is no sofa or chairs to sit and chat comfortably, just the two enormous heavy armchairs in the opposite corners of this long room. No mini bar/fridge, very poor lighting at the wash basin, impossible to do makeup. Zero privacy in the wc and shower since there are no actual doors there, just some short saloon style doors hanging in the middle, letting out the water from the shower and odors from the toilet. No hangers for the towels. No bathrobes provided which is strange for the hotel who’s main entertainment facility is the outdoor pool. At the outdoor pool there are very few deck chairs and no umbrellas at all. The communication was poor, mostly over wechat, since the staff speaks basically no English. We have asked twice, in advance, about the vegetarian option for breakfast and still they brought us meat in the breakfast set (only Chinese style food is available). Altogether the experience was rather disappointing. Glad to have booked just one night there. As for the surroundings, there is no access to the bamboo forest behind the hotel or across the road. And beware of the aggressive unleashed dogs in the village across the road if you decide to go for a stroll near the hotel.

The vibe at the house is super cozy, the place is extremely clean and beautifully decorated, with warm colors and a home-vibe all around. Ernest and his team were super supportive since the first moment of the reservation and assisted us immediately through WeChat if any question. We also enjoyed their exquisite Chinese local dinner set; it was tasty and fresh! The breakfast is also very delicious. Finally, the bedroom was really amazing, with one of the best views I’ve had in a countryside hotel by far; just spectacular to relax and get a perfect getaway from the city. CChantelleThis was a fantastic stay. Unfortunately the scenic area closed the night of my arrival due to the approaching typhoon and was also closed the next day. However the staff at the guesthouse were amazing, they packed and brought my dinner to the door and even moved the breakfast to be served in the main house due to the heavy rain. The staff kept me updated throughout my stay. Bonus: My room had a great view of the mountains and even though the typhoon hit, I felt very cozy and safe in my room. The food (home cooked meals) were also delicious. I highly recommend the bamboo shoots!
