The hotel here is nice. The area is bad, but that is to be expected when traveling to a rural area. Upon arriving you’ll immediately be pressured into buying a tour. The price I was offered was $100 for two people. The tour was from 8-4. They do bring you to all the sites which for us was good. We had an uncomfortable experience on the second day of our tour (which was booked through the hotel) it was only supposed to be $80 for a half day where they then take us to the airport, but instead at the end he charged us $95 in the local currency. Overall I would recommend the hotel, but no need to book a tour with them.

Satisfactory sleeping conditions at Anoulack khen Lao Hotel. 2 separate blocks with reception and breakfast at the main block. Because it was Pi Mai, the Lao New Year, service was minimal. I suggest avoid the Lao New year period as several eating places are closed for 3 to 5 days. We had our own transport and travel around the town was easy.

Good for the money. Very Nice people but only one person spoke English. Communication big problem needs safe for each room.
