Secrets Tides Punta Cana - Adults Only

We stayed here from December 29th until January 2nd.  I want to start off by saying the resort itself is gorgeous.  We paid for the preferred and it was worth it. Our butler Andi was great!  The room was nice. It has a musty smell to it for being only a year old.  The housekeeping was on point and the turn down service at night was nice also.  Now the food we tried at various restaurants on the resort and each one was just bad, the food was always cold on the buffet.  All of the specialty restaurants even though you do not have to have reservations it doesn't matter because they are all the same. If you go to the buffet you can find the same food there.  We had ribs and it was all fat, no meat, we had chicken, it was full of gristle,  we had steak and it was chewy, the best thing that we ate was a burger.  This was a huge disappointment for us as we have always thought Secrets did pretty well with the food choices. We will not be back to this resort two years ago we stayed at the Punta Cap Cana Secrets and it was wonderful.

The Secret Tides is a phenomenal resort. It is amazing, so ignore anyone who says otherwise. Every person I met over the 7 days loved it there! It was stupendous! Our butler Diego was the best! What he did for us everyday of the trip was so kind! He made my daughter’s birthday so special by decorating our room with tons of balloons, brought a birthday Queen sash and tiara to the pool, and made sure dinner was so special with a song to her from the staff. The preferred pool staff was amazing. Gisela everyday found chairs even when none were there to make sure my elderly parents were comfortable. Coral, Josefa, and Juliana brought amazing drinks with a smile! The pools and beach were so nice! The resort is beautiful. The entertainment staff was amazing. Skinnygirl and all of the staff made our trip so fun. From hat painting, to dance parties with cool light up characters and giant pandas and people on stilts, to great shows, we were always entertained and having a great time. Oceana for breakfast by the beach was such a great way to start the day. The food was fresh and the service was outstanding. We loved it there for dinner with the filet and lobster tail that was delicious. Meraki was great, especially. Eddy at the teppanyaki was a great show with delicious steak, chicken and shrimp. The banana rolls are a must! Seaside Grill with Herbert, the best waiter ever, had great steaks! We went there twice. The El Patio had yummy fajitas, flautas and tacos with excellent service. Lenny was a super waitress at Portofino, although we didn’t like the food as much as the other restaurants. However, it depends what you get. The Osso Bucco was yummy, but the ravioli was just okay. The resort is gorgeous with breathtaking views. The rooms are state of the art and tastefully decorated. My family loved Secrets Tides and want to return. You will love it! Amazing place!
