Shangri-La Hotel Qufu

Beautiful hotel, the architecture and design details are stunning. But the best part is the hotel staff, they are all very professional but personable. Everyone we met, the receptionist, restaurant waitress, exercise room, and housekeeping staff were smiling and friendly. We got the package and tried on the Han style clothes and staff offered to help take photos around the hotel. I would definitely come back the next time I am in Qufu. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

It was our second stay at this hotel. Because of the CNY the hotel was fully booked, but in spite of that the staff always had time for us, answering questions and fulfilling our wishes. For instance, they found another room for us where the noise from the amusement park was not heard, they tried to find a nice table in the restaurant, call the cab and finally generously agreed to extend the checkout time till 6pm. We felt us very comfortable having all this friendly and helpful support. The buffet diner in the evening is amazing, the managers do their best introducing Chinese dishes for us. The variety of the offers in the lobby bar could be better and the whole a**osphere there more cosy. We could use sauna, we accustomed to European standards were missing a really quiet and cosy room, also the size of the sauna is small. Overall we would always recommend this hotel and definitely stay there when visiting again the hometown of Confucius

the staffs are friendly. rooms are clean and centrally located. the downside the buffet breakfast has limited choices and look more like a 3 star hotel buffet.

I got the classic Shangri-la experience that I would expect from other Shangri-la Hotels across the country. The facilities were great, the staff were friendly, and the gym was good. I didn't have enough time to enjoy the sauna and pool, but it looked good too. The breakfast buffet was nice, but it didn't have the full variety that you get from other Shangri-la locations; for example, they didn't have any bacon! And there was no jam on the first day. It is about 20 minutes on foot to the Confucius sites, or 5 minutes in a cab. There is also a big SPAR supermarket across the street. It's one of the best hotels in Qufu from what I have seen from this trip!

This is an amazing hotel with high quality service and great location. Firstly, when we were doing our check-in the front desk informed that due to new COVID cases in Beijing (where we live) the local government requested an nucleic acid test. The staff did everything to help us. They double check with local authorities, called hospitals, booked an appoin**ent and sent an employee to escort and support us (as we do not speak Chinese). They also did their best to obtain the result as faster as possible. Secondly, to minimise this situation and make our stay better, the hotel upgraded our room and offered amenities. Thirdly, the restaurant is the best in town, the food is tasteful and the service attentive. Fourthly, the hotel is located in a commercial area with all the facilities surrounding and in a walking distance (or 5 minutes by car) to the main attractions in the city. Fifth, the room, lobby, gym and swimming pool are lovely, comfortable and clean. Our special thanks to the manager-front office Gloria Jing, to Lily Yang and their team. They made our stay in Qufu a must and showed how a superb custom service can make the difference
