Weirdly strong smell of gasoline throughout the property including in the bedrooms, particularly at night, when we enquired a staff member advised they were trying to cover it up with air freshener but offered no explanation. After going out for the day we returned in the evening to find our room was unlocked and wouldn’t lock, appears it had been that way since the maid had been into clean. We alerted the front desk and were understandably annoyed that the room had been left open all afternoon, the staff member was unapologetic and dismissive, after checking the lock he informed us the hotel was fully booked (not true as we checked on ***********) and that we would be expected to pay the difference to move to a suite with a working lock. Obviously this was an unacceptable solution, in the end we managed to move rooms but the complete lack of customer service, absence of any form of apology and also the inconvenience of having to move our belongings part way through a stay ruined our experience.
