Great location but a little noise. And they did have elevator problems which meant we had to walk up stairs to get to our floor.

I enjoyed a quick visit for a work conference in downtown Raleigh. This was my second stay at this people and I enjoyed it just as much as the first trip. The front desk staff was always very friendly and helpful with any need that came up. The room was pristine and the air conditioner was amazing! As others have noted the noise can be loud due to area nightlife and nearby train. The hotel goes out of its way to prepare you and assist with ensuring it is not an issue.

My recent experience @ the Hampton Inn Downtown Raleigh was amazing. The STAFF was very friendly & helpful, a nice clean room, good breakfast, great gym/pool and very convenient location to local attractions. Very Much appreciated. MIKE

Guests need to know the music noise from nearby bars is so loud until 2am that the hotel gives guests ear plugs and white noise machines, which still didn’t drown out the noise. We had to move rooms because our air-conditioner was broken, and the air-conditioner in our second room was very noisy. The staff were very friendly and courteous (A+ staff) but we had other problems. The parking was supposed to be $20 a day, but no one told us to use our room key at the commercial garage across the street, so we were charged $57 for one day of parking. It would help if the front desk staff told guests to be sure to use their room key instead of the parking ticket. Thanks to the hotel staff for at least taking the $40 parking charge for 2 days off of our hotel bill.

I took a class at NCState and stayed here. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. There was some noise that came in from the outside but I was able to get used to it pretty quickly. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The gym had minimal weights but you could get a decent work out in. The peloton bike did not work. I would stay here again when I am in town.

My stay was awesome! Jordan was very helpful and courteous! We will be coming back. Great night time spot.park and walk to all the restaraunts. Everyone opens around 4 or 5pm. The night life is popping. Very quiet and everything is in walking distance.

The staff was not friendly at all. Upon arrival the computer system was down, and they did not have any backup paperwork to show which rooms were ready for check in. I was given 2 backup keys but neither of them worked. The manager and the staff were very rude upon check in. We were there for 3 days and requested daily housekeeping service and the front desk agent was rude when it was requested. The front desk staff was observed outside the hotel sitting on the steps of the building across the street from the hotel and no one was at the front desk. I asked for a late checkout and the front desk agent on duty told me to call the morning of my checkout, when I did the person on duty told me I couldn't get a late checkout and I explained to him what I was told to do and that's what I did. It is not my fault that there is poor communication with the staff. Didn't feel welcome at all.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh Downtown provided an exceptional experience, with standout customer service that truly elevated the stay. The front desk staff member, though unnamed, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and focused on ensuring a seamless guest experience. Her assistance in booking a car service to the PNC concert venue was particularly helpful. The online check-in process was a first and proved to be convenient. The room itself was great, with the added convenience of being able to connect with your phone. While some noise from the train was audible on the 6th floor, it did not disrupt sleep at night. The location and top-notch customer service more than made up for any potential noise concerns. The breakfast offerings were also a highlight, contributing to an overall enjoyable stay. The combination of excellent amenities, prime location, and outstanding service makes this hotel a definite choice for future visits to Raleigh.
