Grecotel Creta Palace

This is the 3rd time we stayed at a Grecotel. I love this hotel chain , it is the epitome of Greek hospitality. We arrived at the creta palace late in the evening, the welcome we received from the staff was unbelievable! They escorted us to the reception area and treated us to refreshments and sweets. We’re greeted as old friends, very warm, welcoming and friendly. Besides the staff at reception, we were also greeted by , the manager as well as Panagiotis head of guest relations. After check in , Panagiotis from guest relations escorted us to our rooms . The rooms were impeccably clean, this is a major factor for me. The bathrooms large and super clean. The bed was king size with comfortable Matress and pillows, view from our balcony was dreamy (pool and sea view) . We had dinner that night at there seafood restaurant, another pleasant surprise, the serving staff at the restaurant was super professional, friendly , and the food was excellent. We spent our days lounging by the pool and beach. The service at the beach was also amazing. Our server Marina was always with a smile , tending to our every request. The food at the beach bar restaurant was sooooo good, we we’re actually surprised at the quality of their food, we also at out in rethimno at very highly rated restaurants and in the end we realised that the dinning at the hotel was superior than restaurants in rethimno! The breakfast was fantastic! So much variety and good quality food, the staff also at breakfast area was so very professional, they tireless met all our request. Mr. Lefteris the manager at the breakfast area was so helpful, on the last day my husband had an upset stomach and asked for a tea to help with his issue, Mr.Lefteris the manager said” I will prepare a special tea with Cretan herbs that will calm the stomach” literally a few minutes later an herb infused tea with a variety of Cretan herbs was brought to our table, an hour later my husbands stomach was painless! We were just blown away by such personal attention and service we received at such a large hotel. Usually these large resorts are impersonal, but this is not the case with the Grecotel chain and especially the creta palace. What also impressed us was that the staff of every department of this resort was friendly and professional, we received excellent service all across the board. Even the reservation department where we initially made our reservation was super helpful, so helpful that when we arrived we went to meet them and thank them for booking exactly what we asked for, Irini and Yuli, were the reservation agents we dealt with, they greeted us with smiles and hugs as if we were old friends. The Creta Palace exceeded our expectations, a lovely hotel with fantastic staff, fantastic food, beautiful grounds and amenities! Will definitely go back!

We had vacations in this hotel for the second time. We chose it consciously because we were very satisfied with it the first time. The hotel has a beautiful and very well-maintained territory. There are 2 pools: large and children's pool with water slides. There is accommodation in a villa with small separate pools. On the territory of the hotel there are several restaurants: main, Japanese, fish and Asian. There is an evening program. Separately I would like to note the children's club. They really spend quality time with children there. Every day a new program. The child did not want to leave. On the territory there is still a small agro-farm, on which the hotel grows herbs and vegetables. Another point that I want to note separately is the service. We were lucky to meet Panagiotis, who helped us to solve a couple of non-standard questions that we had.

Stayed for a week this past July with my family, on THREE SEPARATE NIGHTS came back to huge ROACHES in the room. Imagine having to kill it with your sneaker and then try to get some rest. I called the front desk each time and was told they would spray, second time asked for a manager who never contacted me until after I had left the property and had made repeated calls and sent multiple emails. I couldn't wait to leave. They told me they would offer me a room upgrade if I came back... no thank you. I would not recommend this hotel. The food and room are just ok. Baby indoor pool has cracked tile around it - I could go on... This is not a 5 star property.

I was a little nervous about booking this hotel as I stayed at a Grecotel hotel in Rhodes last year which was very disappointing but Creta Palace did not disappoint, the hotel is lovely, all the staff are really friendly, helpful & attentive. The beach is beautiful (you need beach shoes) with ample sunbeds. This is a great hotel for all types of families and great for couples too. Even though the hotel was busy you didn't feel like you were on top of each other as there are lots of different areas. The kids areas with its own pool and Grecotel land are fab. I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

It was a wonderful holiday from all points of view : accommodation , restaurants , bars , pool , beach , sea . This aspects were largely due to mr. Antonis the rooms division Manager and mr. Georgios the general Manager , a very kinds , hardworkings and skileds persons , who tried and succeded in helping all the guests . I look forward to returning to the Grecotel Palace in September.
